It is also with great pleasure that we are able to announce another new teacher arrival soon, Miss Karachi (pictured). Miss Karachi is a very experienced Early Years teacher, who also has significant expertise teaching performing arts to all age groups. With continued growth of student numbers in our Early Years department, Miss Karachi will join this teaching team to enable smaller focus groups in support of student learning. Miss Karachi is currently teaching in RA International School, Nigeria. Miss Karachi and her husband, Mr Dimbo, will arrive in Brunei at the end of February, where they will join the Panaga community following their required quarantine period. Parent Teacher Association (PTA) Updates Our PTA makes a significant contribution to Panaga School through initiatives that bring our community together and financially support teaching, learning and play. Most recently, our well attended PTA Carols Festival was a tremendous success, providing families with a wonderful festive event that created social connections and celebrations at an important time of the year for many. A lot of people need to be thanked for the success of our PTA Carols event, particularly Wendy Dawn Thompson, Michelle Brown, Miss Annie, Miss Sarah, Panaga Singers, Panaga School Choir, Miss Cyla, Miss Ali and many of our talented Learning Support Assistants. In addition, special thanks is extended to our PTA executive (pictured), Sarah Harrison (Secretary), Christina Boullion (President) and Kristy McGrath (Treasurer) for their tireless efforts and leadership of this very successful community event. Next PTA meeting: Thursday 14th January @ 7PM, Teraja Staffroom All Welcome!

P1 entered their new Weather Wonders IEYC unit with a Splash!
P1 had a great Splash Day, after a visit from Mr McCloud the previous day. Lots of us wished for him to bring us snow, and as that isn’t possible in Brunei, we got ice instead! We dipped our toes in at first, and then got braver by getting completely wet in the icy cold water!

The children of P2 were introduced to their new topic of learning, ‘Our World’, with a morning of interactive experiences that were provided by Miss Steph. A lifesized game of snakes and ladders, ‘What sound is this?’, ‘What part of a rainforest does this animal live in?’ and ‘Who makes this footprint?’ were a selection of learning that was available for the children to choose. Each child was encouraged to move through experiences and gain a stamp in their passport. P2 Teaching team
