SENIOR LEADERSHIP TEAM FOREWORD
Dear Panaga School Community,
From this yearbook you will see evidence of respectful, communicative, cooperative, reflective, adaptable, enquiring, resilient and creative children who lead by example and with integrity, who are finding their own unique way in the world. It is up to us a school to help provide the opportunities for this exploration and this yearbook certainly provides ample evidence of this.
Yearbooks are like photo albums (does anybody still make these?!) in that although they provide a snapshot of the year, they don’t often tell the whole story. It is important to remember one’s own personal journey, take pride in it and treasure the memories, including the highs and the lows, and hopefully in years to come, these snapshots will trigger those thoughts and bring a smile to many of your faces.
'Together, You, Me, Our Community' is our school's definition of international mindedness and it really does capture the essence of where we are privileged to live, work and contribute. It is such a pleasure to be surrounded by so many talented, caring and hardworking children and staff within such a supportive network of parents, board members and friends. This is a very special community and one that has a voracious desire to get stronger in supporting each and every child that passes through these doors every day. Our children, as you can see from these pages, are bursting with vitality and kindness, making Panaga School such a vibrant, inclusive and caring community,
We hope you enjoy perusing through this yearbook and in years to come, you will recall some fond memories and one of those smiles emerge.

Not only did they tackle teamwork challenges with gusto, but they also showed off their resilience and laser-sharp focus through engaging games. Meanwhile, the P2s dazzled the stage with their mini masterpiece, "THE TOY SHOP." Adding to their repertoire, they delved into Dance and Movement, grooving to the rhythm of the hit song "BELIEVER" and lending their voices as the powerhouse choir for the end of year performance.
Our P3s are phenomenal! These stars truly shone bright as they delved deep into character exploration, wowed audiences with their Singing Assemblies, and poured their hearts into the magical musical theatre performance of "JACK AND THE BEANSTALK."
From rainbow adventures to toy store spectacles and fairy tale fantasies, it's been a year of endless creativity and boundless talent in our Drama class!
During PE lessons this year the children have explored a variety of activities such as games, dance, athletics and gymnastics. They have deepened their knowledge of sports and continued to develop their resilience as they have learnt new skills and built upon their existing skills.

The P3 choir children sang melodious songs both in English and Malay. The legend remind us to be gratefulandappreciatewhatyouhave.
Jong Batu is a rock outcrop located in Kampong Ayer, Brunei River. It resembles a sinking ship, with the bow sticking out of the water. In Brunei folklore, the legend of Nakhoda Manis tells of how an unfilial son was turned to the rock known as Jong Batu.

There are definitely lots of memories in Panaga School that I will ponder. More than half of my life in Shell is in Panaga School which started in Its always been an interesting journey through out the years, ups & downs but then I’m still here & looking forward to my retirement
After 12 wonderful years here in Brunei it’s unfortunately time to say goodbye. 12 years full of precious memories and everlasting friendships. Panaga School has been like a family to us and will stay in our hearts, especially as our girls spent so many years here.
Selamat Tinggal Panaga!
After almost four wonderful years at Panaga School, it's time for me to say goodbye. I am deeply grateful for the experiences and ve made here. To my amazing colleagues, thank you for making my every ll miss the laughter, the staff meeting dilemma, our ongoing battle with the internet connection and yes, even the chaotic covers. To my awesome students, thank you for keeping me on my toes and keep me young at heart with your Gen Z slangs. I’m off to new challenges, but I’ll never forget my time here in Panaga School. Take care and wish you all continued success and happiness.
Gina and Paul Creaton
Panaga has been our home for nearly 14 years and it is a place where we have made so many amazing memories. We have loved living surrounded by such interesting plants and animals but what makes Panaga so very special is its very diverse, welcoming and supportive community. We are very sad to leave so many great friends behind but are also excited to begin our next adventure in Oman.
My two years in Brunei were enriching as I got to know you and the school staff from many different parts of the world. In addition, my daughter was able to complete her last two years of high school in a vibrant international school setting, resulting in valuable cultural learning. As a family, we really enjoyed our time and experiences in Brunei. Now that I'm moving on to new adventures, I want to thank each of you for the joy and excitement you've brought into my life. Watching you learn, grow, and explore has been the highlight of my time here. Always remember to be kind, stay curious, and never stop believing in yourself. I will cherish the memories we've made and carry the lessons we've shared with me always. Keep shining bright, and know that you all
Working at Panaga School has been an immense privilege and I'm sorry to be leaving all the wonderful students and staff who make this such a special place. I certainly won't miss the troops of monkeys that invade our games of Capture the Flag!!! Thank you to everyone who has helped me run various sporting activities, trips and
What an experience it has been to work with and teach the wonderful and unique Panaga community. We have had an amazing 7 years in "The abode of Peace" and feel incredibly lucky to have extended our international Panaga family far and wide. We thank our wonderful host community and all of the Brunian influences that will forever be a part of our journey. Terima Kasih and jumpa lagi for now...
7 years definitely flew by, especially working with some of the most amazing people in my life. If you look up roller coaster in the dictionary, Panaga School is just next to it and to me that's exactly how it felt; lots of highs and lows (and screaming!). However, along this roller coaster journey, I've learnt that the highs should be cherished and there are lessons to be learned from the lows. I don't think I'll have quite a journey like Panaga School and for that I will truly treasure whatever that came with this ride for the rest of my life. Thank you so much Panaga School!

My 18 years in Panaga School will be truly unforgettable. Throughout this time, I have met so many incredible people from whom I have learned so much. I am ever so grateful to be part of the Panaga family. Thank you for the wonderful memories.
After four years here at Panaga School it is my turn to say goodbye. We arrived during COVID-19 and spent our first two weeks confined to a room at the Garden Central Hotel in KB! How the world has changed, it seems like such a long time ago. Online teaching was something I had never experienced before but with the support of parents and the adaptability of students, the learning continued. My pet dog also joined in the online learning by coming into the room during story time, much to the delight of the children who were just as interested in her as they were in the story! I think the children missed seeing her when we returned to classroom-based learning. Whenever I say goodbye to children I always ask them what they will miss about Panaga, for me, it will be the amazing environment, I never thought I would be teaching in the jungle of Borneo! I will miss the children and colleagues, the friends I have made during my time here but… I will not miss chasing the monkeys off the playground! I will be moving to Hanoi in Vietnam, so I guess I will also miss the peace and quiet of Brunei. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the teachers and students that I have worked with during my time here, you have all helped to make my time here an enjoyable and unique experience.
