Panaga School’s Vision and Mission

Panaga School whale is displayed on buildings and across various publications. Our whale is representative of our school’s Vision and Mission, it was created through engagement with all stakeholders across our school community in 2019. During these engagement sessions, it quickly became apparent that our school is a community school with togetherness a constant theme for the way that we work, learn and play.

Together Improving Learning is our succinct statement that provides us with our vision and mission, to remind us of the purpose of every member of the Panaga School Community. We are here to improve learning, together and for all.

Issue 123 | 9th September 2022 PANAGA SCHOOL | BIWEEKLY NEWSLETTER During our Entry Point, we were set the challenge to create the highest freestanding flagpole. We needed to get out brain thinking, use our problem solving skills and work together as a team. WHAT FUN!!

The challenges that I have is the way we were communicating and the way we showed resilience. It was also hard to use the materials so a lot skills needed. Iona It was really challenging to cooperate and communicate with the team because everyone have different ideas Joseph It was hard to communicate with everybody because there was a lot of pressure and ideas in the group. Caleb It was hard to get the flag pole to stand and work together but when we started listening to each others ideas we were able to do it.

I use communication to my team members because sometimes they make mistakes and I help them =) Sanad

The challenging thing I found was that working together is bit challenging and finding how to make an object stand without tipping over.Anusri

Dear Melilas Families, Welcome to our new and returning middle years students. It has been a pleasure to see our Melilas students engaging with their subject teachers, enjoying the new vertical Form Groups where our M1 and M2 are mixed, and starting their new learning journey for this year. We also introduced are new concept curriculum where we have enhanced our individual subject learning with deeper connections across subject articulated in our ‘Big Idea’. The students loved their engagement points this Wednesday and exploring the concept statements. All of Melilas look forward to developing these ideas across the first part of this term. It was also wonderful to start our sports fixtures again, and we hope to have a number of sporting opportunities across the term, and year, able led by Mr. Nathan. We begin next Wednesday with our first football match with ISB in Bandar. The new P.E. kits are also looking very smart! Please take a look at some of the great learning in Week 1.
