Rowan's cool, colourful coding Here is a picture of Rowan's coding background. He had a lot of fun working through the different elements.
Together, we were able to make the dog and the ladybird move. As you can see, we also worked out how to change the size of the images too. There was a lot of collaborative learning going on. I think I learnt as much as Rowan did! Rowan directed the design, I just assisted in working out how to make it happen. He remembered how to add the coding instructions to move the two characters. It was a lot of fun! - Michelle nowledge,

A week of great learning in P5! This a photo collage of some of the learning captured during the first two weeks. - Mr Daniel and Miss Charlotte
Mayra’s brilliant brain learning Mayra (P5C) had great fun constructing her model of a neuron using homemade playdough and poster colours as a part of the Brainwaves IPC topic. Mayra learned that neurons are a very important part of the brain. They are responsible for sending messages within the brain so that we can think. They also send messages to the rest of the body so that we can move our bodies and receive input from our senses. - Vikas

Special Edition Great learning and fun with Oliver, Matilda, Arthur and Henry
Arthur wrote some sounds with his bigger brother Oliver and it ended with face painting. Arthur also enjoyed building a tower with his magnets blocks.
Matilda found a baby bird in our garden that fell down from its nest and helped it to find its mum. Matilda also practises her resilience by making a card house.

Henry had to read a book in an unsuspecting place; he decided to read at the sink. Also, Henry made his name from books, because he loves to read. The teacher asked children to draw a smiley caterpillar. This is what we got from Oliver!

Middle Years 1 English - Creative Challenge
This term, M1 have begun a novel study of the book, Holes, by Louis Sachar. As we read, we are undertaking a wide range of activities, e.g. text marking, character analysis, reading comprehensions, journal entries, persuasive letters, reviews, designing book covers and comic strips. One of our first creative challenges was to create a labelled graphic illustration of the Holes setting – Camp Green Lake. The students had full artistic control over the medium they used to present the setting. Please take a look at the photos of the wide range of settings the students created. I am sure you will all join me in congratulating them on their adaptability and creativity. I look forward to sharing more of their work as our novel study continues. - Miss Mandy

Special Edition Caroline uses her special talents to help an amazing cause Caroline (M1P) made keychains and sold them, collecting 50 percent, to buy dog and cat food and some special treats. All of the food purchased will be donated to CAS (Care and Actions for Strays). Soon, she will put up her special logo. Our dog was very jealous that the food wasn't for him to eat.
