School Disco We are pleased to announce that last term’s School Disco has been rescheduled to Thursday 13th February. This will mean that After School Activities (ASAs) on this day will not take place. Last term, severe rain and flooding resulted in the cancellation of our School Disco. School Discos are held throughout the year as a social event for students, which raise money for our Parent Teacher Association (PTA), that in turn provide funds to enhance learning and play equipment right across the school. If you have a disco ticket from last term, this is valid for our February event. If you are unable to make this rescheduled date and are satisfied to donate your $5 payment to the PTA, thank you! For anybody needing to purchase a ticket, gain a refund or a replacement armband from last term’s proposed event, please see a member of the Rampayoh or Teraja office for further assistance.
cindybintahal@panagaschool.com International Day On Friday 13th March, Panaga School will host our International Day. This day is a fantastic celebration of so many countries represented within Panaga Head Teacher: School’s community. Going beyond food, flags and festivals, International Day Mark Walters also supports the growth of our student’s International Mindedness. This is markwalters@panagaschool.net the ability to recognise similarities and celebrate differences between (+673) 3373972/8988224 countries and cultures. It is understanding the independence, yet interdependence of a global society of which we all belong.

International Dough Disco comes to Early Years!
Early Years had a fabulous morning on Tuesday when they celebrated International Dough Disco Day. With staff dressed to an 80’s disco theme, children from Pre-Nursery to P1 danced and grooved with their playdough, strengthening fingers and practising coordination! They demonstrated resilience and adaptability as they were encouraged to develop their pre-writing skills. Well done, Early Years!

As a part of our Health and Fitness unit, we visited the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Training Institute.
We discovered that sometimes soldiers need to eat nutritious meals, called rations, when they are participating in military exercises. These are high in carbohydrates, fat and protein.
Thank you to the RBAF Training Institute. P4 had a fantastic day!

Over 200 children, right across Panaga School from P2-M2, entered our very first IPC Personal Qualitiesthemed Scratch Competition. Panaga students have long been lovers of Scratch and the wonderful Coding learning opportunities it provides. Also, we have held Coding competitions in the past. What was most overwhelming on this occasion, however, was not just the extremely high participation rate, but the passion expressed for and knowledge of each of our 8 Personal Qualities, all underpinned by International Mindedness, in the apps the children programmed.
“Don’t just download the latest app, help redesign it. Don’t just play on your phone, program it.” - Barrack Obama The winners were awarded a certificate which is hopefully proudly still stuck to their fridge at home. They were:
