Project: ANIMATED NARRATIVE

FIRST OPTION FOR ANIMATION:

SECOND OPTION FOR ANIMATION:

It was hard to summarize the whole book, but i managed to find a way to truncate the story for it to make sense.

PARTS OF BOOK USED FOR THE ANIMATION:

I find inspiration on David Carson’s work.

1. Letters appear one by one, and simultaneously change colors. 2. Letters continue to appear. 3. Words appear from a zoomed point of view until they reach their size. 4. The word “day will rise like the sun. 1.

2.

3.

4.

5. Phrase comes from the right side, pushing other words to the left. 6. Phrase comes from any other side, until it reaches the middle. 7. Words go away.

5.

6.

7.

8.

8. The words will go away and spread out until they disappear from the screen.

9. Text comes from the top. 10. When more text appears, VRPH WH[W Ă LSV WR WKH OHIW 11. Words start going up one by one. 12. Words go up one by one until the phrase is completely on top of the frame. 9.

10.

11.

12.

13. Words will appear from the bottom, like we wouldn’t normally read them. 14. This is part of the plot, and it will have a little bit of confusion once the whole phrase is shown, since it is read from bottom to top. 15. Grey colors keep adding since it is a confusion scene. 13.

14.

15.

16.

16. Reading all the phrase will be confusing, to pair up with the phrase: “you’ll get mixed up of course”.

17. The phrase will rotate when text starts forming. 18. As the word “goâ€? apSHDUV LW Ă LSV WH[W RQ WKH VLGH 90 degrees. 19. Make a “ladder-likeâ€? sentence. 20. End it with a straight line. 17.

18.

19.

20.

21. Balance all words in the middle and make them fade away. 22. A question will be shown ZKHQ LW LV ÀQLVKHG ]RRPLQJ out. 23. Question will appear fully.

21.

22.

23.

24.

24. As more text is inserted in the animation, other text comes out of the frame.

25. Phrase is completed. 26. Make a zig-zag line to place more text. 27. Text in small point will be blown up until it covers the screen. 28. Text will get lost when completely zoomed. 25.

26.

27.

28.

29. More text added, coming from a side. 30. 7H[W JRHV XS Ă LSSLQJ other text around. 31. Final phrase is shown. 32. Phrase will fade away.
