The window displays at the Massimo Dutti store on Via Roma 5, Florence, were entirely transformed for the duration of Pitti Uomo by the creative talent of the firm’s team. Detailed view of some of the items that transformed the store’s window displays, where art and tradition were fused with modernity and the avant-garde. Fashion editors, buyers, designers and stylish visitors wandered the Fortezza da Basso and perused all the window displays in the city, to discover first hand what we will be wearing in autumn-winter 2019/20.

GALLERIA VITTORIO EMANUELE Massimo Dutti relaunches the partnership project with the prestigious Spanish magazine AD España, to coincide with the Milan Furniture Fair. A collaboration that began in 2013 and aims at bringing together art, interior design and fashion in the brand’s store windows.
MALPENSA AIRPORT The names featuring in this edition are: LAONPOTTERY, LA COBALTA, SILVIA VALENTIN, NAT VICO, TORU, SEVERINO BOIX, VERGÉS, MAX ENRICH, PCM DESIGN, ÁBBATTE, TEIXIDORS, DOMANISES. They all contributed with unique signature pieces and, unsurprisingly, as it happens when combining art with fashion, imagination took flight.
Massimo Dutti & AD surprise this edition with, if possible, an even more special collaboration and a different approach. The support to new talents, designers emerging on the Spanish horizon, defines this edition in which 12 artists invade the brand’s store windows with unique pieces that blend in seamlessly.
To visualise how their work blends organically into the brand’s window displays is to enter a creative Eden where each element and detail reveals part of the spirit of each artist and an experience that reinforces the affinity between them.

I_ Le Brouhaha are sound postcards that I have collected in all of the countries I travel to and that I share on instagram. These short sound recordings constitute a unique narrative of the world, a different story that everyone can dive into and be a part of. Le Brouhaha is a tool that allows you to “listen to the world�, rediscovering it through sounds big and small. Streets, cities, forests and workshops all have their own sounds that make up a small musical piece expressing their place in the world.

Q_Your Instagram profile reads: Vanessa Breuer - Mother, Model, Healthy Chef (and wife) Tell us, how do you maintain a balance between these different roles? V_ It’s an everyday juggle to balance all those different roles. Someday we manage fine, others we are all overwhelmed. Lately I have been working quite a lot so it is important that we don‘t forget why we are working - to have the quiet life and lots of time to be with our children. If I work too much it all gets out of balance and we all feel exhausted. Most of my jobs take me away from the island which is actually quite nice. When I am away I can be a model, and when I am home I can be a full time mother and chef (which is based in my kitchen only at the moment), I feel confident in going away as my husband stays at home full time. Otherwise there is no way i could manage.

Q_You’ve travelled the world, what made you choose Ibiza as your home?
V_ I feel like the island chose us... we first came here before we had children when we were living continents apart. Oddy was in Australia and I was living in New York. We met on the island and we fell in love again, not just with each other but also with the energy that we felt here. Later we got married on the island, so when my first daughter was born in Sydney and we decided to spend some time in Europe, Ibiza was on our mind. And them. Well we found this house or maybe it found us because it feels like the first real home I ever had.

Montse Salvat studied Economics, but since childhood she was a restless soul who sewed, painted and created her own jewellery using sea shells. One day the Catalonian artist decided to quit her job and focus on her true passion— painting. Her first important commission was a large mural for the 080 in Barcelona and from there, thanks to word of mouth, her drawings became increasingly in demand. Her great passion is live creation. She is inspired by the flexibility of objects and the movement of the realities she shapes, which is why it is common to see her creating in situ.

The event brought together a notable number of guests from the fashion, communications, art and culture sectors who were able to discover a new shopping experience live, bringing together the physical store with the online one.

Massimo Dutti presents the new shop & collect concept, a new shopping experience that allows the customer to access the collection through the personalised customer service offered by the teams in stores, and using the most advanced technology such as the magic mirror.
All the guests were able use in situ a service through which the customer can buy their favorite pieces from the latest collection after a selection process, thanks to advanced technology systems such as Magic Mirror installed in the same premises. The system allows customers to finalise the purchasing process directly on the Massimo Dutti website or through specialised staff using mobile iPod devices. In less than an hour the customer will have their order available in the store or receive it directly at home, whichever they prefer. During the presentation in the Palmade Mallorca store, a delicious breakfast was served and customers could enjoy the work of artist Marina Vindel live, as she personalised T-shirts from the latest Boys & Girls SS19 collection and blank sheets with her watercolour illustrations 332

A unique setting for a special celebration that not only revealed the excellence of collections designed for today’s man and woman, but also brought together a select number of guests to enjoy an unforgettable evening, full of surprises. One of the event’s surprises was the performance by Inès Mélia, one of the most sought-after DJs, who can be found on the turntables of the hottestParis clubs. On this occasion, Inès delighted guests with one of her own musical mixes, specially designed for the event.
A stylish event that brought together some of the most important Spanish and international faces of the moment. All taking place in a store that has become an emblem of the perfect combination of tradition and modernity, the results of an exquisite refurbishment project.

The prestigious British landscapers Harry and David Rich were responsible for a haute couture project that was completely in synch with the historical characteristics of the building itself. The courtyard of the Rovira i Rabassa building preserves the charm of Mediterranean gardens and while it was being renovated, some original symbols were recovered such as the bench covered in exquisite, beautifully coloured mosaics. The masterful and virtuous work of brothers Harry and David Rich was marked by the conceptualisation and creation of the landscape gardening project implemented in the store’s interior courtyard. With their good taste and artistic skill, they have managed to create a project that enhances the beauty and uniqueness of a space in surroundings very characteristic of Barcelona. Originally, and going back to the modernist era, this was a space reflecting the lifestyle of an opulent middle class that demanded the creation of the intimate and picturesque gardens inherent to houses, with special nooks that invited quiet reflection.
THE COURTYARD
This refurbishment project has taken into account all of the decisive factors enabling the recuperation of the site’s old spirit of beauty and splendour. These considerations include everything from strictly environmental factors and the type of plant holders used to the selection and combination of the ideal botanical species that might flourish here. Another aspect that has been prioritised is the use of colour, developing a chromatic map in complete harmony with the use of simple combinations of subtle and delicate hues.
A natural space that responds to a project respecting the identity of an old Modernist courtyard. The path has been conceived as a unique experience thanks to the creation of a kaleidoscope of different botanical species and flowers that inhabit this small oasis, coming together in a delicate chromatic symphony. The design is also an example of good taste and respect for a series of functional architectural standards that ensure the perfect circulation of visitors without obstacles to the enjoyment of an agreeable stroll or an appealing view.
