STENCILS Sarah Jackman Read crafts beautiful greetings in a matter of minutes

TRY WET STENCILLING TODAY

COST-EFFECTIVE It's so satisfying to find a crafty

technique that is not only quick to do, but extremely effective too. This wet stencil cardmaking method is ideal for the festive period when we have a lot more greetings to make than usual. It’s also very economical as you only need a few products to create amazing effects.

INK IT To try this technique you'll need sturdy, good quality card, a plastic stencil and ink pads. Ranger Distress ink pads are great to use as they blend seamlessly and come in a wide range of wonderful colours. If you don't have them in your stash, most water-based ink pads will work well.

KEEP IT SIMPLE I've kept my festive designs simple and

added only minimal embellishments, but you can add as many layers, gems and sparkles as you like! This technique works well with a patterned stencil which can be used as a background, then stamp a sentiment on top. The most important thing is to experiment and, of course, have fun!

~ TOP TIP ~ APPLY THE INK WITH SMALL SPONGES TO MAINTAIN CONTROL WHEN BLENDING
