LovelY surprise
I’m a member of a group that organises swaps of crafted items with Reader others. I’d got to NATALIE know the person HARDY who I was sending my gift to and remembered that she likes dark colours. I had a rummage through my stash and found a chipboard heart and lots of purple embellishments. We send the projects anonymously, but she posted on the online group that she really loved it! What a fab way to brighten up someone’s day, Natalie!

I think the free dies that came with issue 88 are lovely and cut beautifully, r e d a Re so I used them to PAT SNOW create this design for my cousin who likes what she calls ‘classy’ cards. I cut the main image from a card I received last Christmas, then added golden die-cut trees along a black border for an elegant finish. These dies are going to get a lot of use over the next few weeks!
As a typical crafter, I wanted to put my own spin on the tree advent calender Reader featured in issue MICHAEL 87. I manage a SMITH Barnardo’s store and have designed two for a raffle prize, in which we hope to raise around £50. I’ve also made one for my mum, which I’m going to fill with trinkets and surprise her with on her birthday. They’ve been a big hit when I’ve shown them to people, and now I have a long list of friends and family who have asked me to create one for them!
You’ve nailed the glam look, Pat!

I’m from Italy and love to spend my days making cards. Lately, I’ve been focusing on my Christmas greetings and decided to try out smaller designs, which I decorated with cute die-cut elements. To give them a professional look, I added eyelets. They’re simple but I think the result is very pleasing! It looks like you’ve made great progress with your Christmas crafting, Oxana!
They look brilliant, Michael. We hope you’ll be able to make them all in time for Christmas!

fter completing all of your Christmas shopping and carefully wrapping each parcel, you don’t want to let your gifts down with poorly made tags – or none at all!
