2 Change the bow into a ‘cut only’ image by highlighting it and clicking on the print icon in the layers window. Place the printed image on the cutting mat and cut it out from thin card with the Explore Air. 4 Curl the top part of each bow using the scraper tool. Using a hot glue gun, assemble the bows by curling the top layers into the centre then attaching the bottom layer and securing a band around the middle.

PAPERCUT CARD 1 Select ‘Cards’ from the categories menu. Select ‘To the best mom ever card’ then click ‘Make it now’. 2 Ungroup the images using the button at the bottom of the ‘Layers’ window. Separate the intricate card front layer then ‘detach’ the layers in this image, being careful not to resize or move the image until it can be attached again, otherwise the score line will be affected. 3 Click ‘Contour’ in the ‘Layers’ window. Carefully click on each image that you wish to remove; the lines will turn turquoise. Click in a space away from the image. 4 Click ‘Add text’ and type ‘Happy birthday’, using the ‘Edit’ window to alter the style and size of the font. 5 Position the text on the card front image. Drag a box around the entire image and click ‘Attach’. Realign all the images together and click ‘Group’ before saving the project. 6 Cut the card image from white cardstock and the insert from pink cardstock. Insert the scoring stylus when prompted during the cutting of the base card. 7 Fold the card along the scored lines, using the scraper tool as a bone folder. Glue the insert to the back of the card front.

Flag bunting can add character to drab areas!
MANTELPIECE FAVOURITE We all know the difference a beautiful bouquet of flowers can make to a home when placed above a fireplace, on a windowsill or in the centre of a dining room table. Patterned vases aren’t always cheap to buy, but adding colourful strips and bold shapes to basic glass ones can be just as effective.
papercraftermagazine.co.uk
1 Select the amount of images you wish to use and roughly arrange them on your wall to get an idea of where to position each one. Cut them to different shapes and sizes. 2 Decide which colour washi tapes will complement your patterns and consider the frames that you’ll make, thinking about each shape and how much space it will use. 3 Cut lengths of tape to create interesting frames around the papers. Use a ruler to ensure your design isn’t wonky.

HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH AN IMPRESSIVE 101 IDEAS FOR YOUR BOOK?
Image from Happy Handmade Home
When writing the title, I found that every idea I had would spark another two or three. Washi tape is such a great multi-tasker that it seems like there are a limitless number of uses — we only stopped at 101 ideas because we ran out of pages!
A doormat is the first thing people notice when walking into your home, so it’s important to ensure yours is inviting. Drawing different patterns in squares, and using an array of bright fabric paints to fill them, will inject vibrant charm into your hallway.
I love washi tape clocks! Mine hangs in the kitchen. It’s a great statement piece and they make lovely gifts. Building a gallery of stylish washi frames is also a great way to add a fun element to a boring blank wall.
