PRI NT E D HEART

➊ Take the butterfly blank and sew several silver leaf shapes to the leaves on the card using pink thread.

➊ Trim the heart blank in half. Take the pre-printed piece and adhere a blue heart to the centre. Sew around the edge of the blue heart using blue thread.

➌ Glue gold sequins to the visible blue circles on the blue heart. Cut out and stick the 'On your special day' sentiment beneath the tag.

➋ Cut out the tag sentiment and staple yellow ribbon to the end and trim the ribbon ends to sharp angles. Stick to the card at an angle and glue three small red heart sequins to the tag.

➍ Take a 10cm x 14cm piece of red card and fold in half as shown. Mount the bottom of the heart onto the card and attach a sparkly butterfly in the corner.

➋ Pierce a tiny hole in the centre of each circle on either side of the butterfly. Layer gold, pink and small gold sequins and stitch onto each circle, again using the pink thread.

“USE BORDER STRIPS, YOUR SUPER SPARKLES PACK, PLUS TRANSFERS TO CREATE LOTS OF FRESH NEW LKS” ELAINE BENNETT, DEPUTY EDITOR 21 PA P E R C R A F T E R

➊ Affix patterned paper strips at various widths to the plain heart blank as shown, starting from the bottom and working upwards. Stick pink ribbon across the top and secure the ends on the back using doublesided tape. ➋ Rub on the 'For you' transfer onto white card and carefully cut out. Mount onto a larger circle trimmed from purple patterned paper using foam pads. Stick to the top right of the heart, again using foam pads. ➌ Pierce a series of holes around the edge of the heart and sew a running stitch with blue thread to complete. ➎ Fold an A4 sheet of cream card in half. Then crease the front half back on itself as shown. Fix the half of the heart shape onto the front fold as shown.

➊ Cut a piece of deep pink card to 15cm x 18cm. Score along all four sides, 2cm and 4cm in from the edges. Slice away the 'L' shape formed by the lines at each corner. Trim one side of the remaining square to make an assembly tab. ➋ Fold along all score lines, turn the side up into a tray and fix with double- sided tape on the tabs. Bend the tops of the sides down to reinforce the sides and cover the tabs. ➌ Trim a piece of pale pink card to 14.7cm x 17.7cm and make into a tray in the same way. This will form the base of the concertina box and should fit neatly into the lid.

➍ Cut several 30cm long strips of paper 9cm wide and join end to end with double-sided tape. Score along the long strip at 6.5cm intervals. Concertina fold on the score lines. ➎ Glue the first page of the concertina to the inside of the box lid and the last page to the base. Embellish the lid of the box with patterned paper and hand-cut motifs. Decorate each page with papers, transfers, sentiments and motifs as desired.

hy spend loads on office supplies when you can craft yourself something special and have fun at the same time? This marvellous pad doesn't look anything less than shop-bought, and is a great project for using up small pieces of cardstock you have left over in your stash. Best of all, it's a super speedy make so you can whip up a few tonight or even in your lunch break!

➊ Trim a piece of light blue cardstock to 8.5cm x 18cm. To create the spine score 8.5cm and 9.5cm. Adhere the sticky note pad below the spine on one side using double-sided sticky tape. ➋ Cut two 8cm squares from dark blue card and use a border punch along one edge. Affix a 6.5cm x 7.5cm layer of light pink tree patterned paper above the punched edge of each one. ➌ Open out the holder and run double-sided tape centrally across the length of the light blue card. Secure the ribbon, leaving enough length at each end to tie a bow. ➍ Adhere the panels to both front and back. Ink the edges of the chipboard tag with red ink from the kit and tie twine through the hole. Adhere to the front panel and add a heart and twine to the inner square. ➎ Type or write 'Notes' onto a piece of card and trim to a pennant shape.
