Gallery and restaurant are one of the tourist facili es that h av e t h e p o t e n a l t o b e d eve lo p e d i n t h e Ci t y o f Bontang. From some data obtained from the eld, the data supports the development of facili es in the culinary sector such as restaurants, where demand for the sector con nues to increase and a racts many people. Procurement of
facili es for suppor ng cultural ac vi es in art in Bontang is also one of the factors that is in the development of galleries as exhibi on space and cultural center. From the image of the City of Bontang itself as a Coastal City and these two ac vi es are mostly carried out in the Bontang coastal area which is a strategic loca on, and seeing the poten al of the
local area, then this development poten al will be very favourable if it is placed in the coastal area of the sea. Gallery-Resto is a building func on that is developed as a tourism facility that has a marine coastal context.

ISSUES GENERAL
ARCHITECTURAL
Ÿ The absence of cultural gallery building facili es
Ÿ How to integrate space with di erent func ons,
to support exhibi on ac vi es and the development as well as educa on of cultural history. Ÿ Culinary has become a poten al sector in the coastal area but its culture is s ll limited to the typology of sea village houses and the lack of facili es that support culinary tourism itself. Ÿ Coastal areas that have been par ally polluted by industrial or residen al waste need to be improved and mangrove conserva on ac vi es need to be in place.
namely galleries and restaurants which are oriented to the sea coast. Ÿ How to restore site produc vity Ÿ How to create buildings that are in harmony with the surrounding ecosystem

SITEPLAN
Ngada Regency is one of the regencies in East Nusa Tenggara Province with a variety of interes ng tourism poten als to be visited by tourists such as Wolobobo Tourism Park, Bena Indigenous Village, Wa t u n a r i w o n o H i l l , O g i Waterfall, Mengeruda Soa Hot Spring, Spiritual Tourism Park Ratu Semesta Alam Wolowio , and Taman Wisata 17 Riung Island and others. The a rac ve tourism poten al can be developed and managed as well as possible, so that it can provide a variety of bene ts for all par es including the
community and the environment. The tourism poten al that will be developed in this plan is the Kebun Raya Wolobobo. Kebun Raya Wolobobo which is the rst botanical garden in East Nusa Tenggara Province is located in Beja Village, Bajawa District, Ngada Regency and has an area of 91.81 Ha. This Kebun Raya Wolobobo is a botanical garden that represents a small Sunda Islands Deciduous Forest ecoregion type.
The development is carried out not only to make tourist a rac ons but also to preserve the poten al and rare plants found in Kebun Raya Wolobobo. This is done with the aim of crea ng balance ac vi es in environmental, social and economic aspects. Thus an architectural plan is needed for Kebun Raya Wolobobo and accompanied by Detail Engineering Design (DED) at each planning point.

Kebun Raya Wolobobo has a func on as an area preserva on of poten al and rare plant diversity exsitu to be used as a reference collec on with high scien c value and poten al to be developed for sustainable use and as an important support in e orts to recover a variety of threatened plants and land degrada on Development in conserva on areas aims to Ÿ support economic development and improve the quality and environmental sustainability. Ÿ so that the condi ons exist in Kebun Raya Wolobobo which is s ll natural and protected and is not exploited as a tourist site. The concept of developing the conserva on of the Kebun Raya Wolobobo involves several par es such as the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, district / provincial governments, the private sector, the community and other par es.

2nd Phase Managerial Area B2
CONCEPT DESIGN Building Mass (massing): The design of building mass in Kebun Raya Wolobobo will adjust the geographical condi on of the site, which is a low-rise building that is responsive to the contours and slope of the area. The building in Kebun Raya Wolobobo was designed with a rela vely low mass and intensity of buildings, to maintain the main func on of the area as a botanical garden. Tropical Architecture: Applica on of tropical architecture is done by u lizing natural ligh ng and air. The arrangement of window openings and terraces is adjusted to allow condi ons in the room to get adequate ligh ng and good air circula on. Natural ven la on will be intended for all buildings in Kebun Raya Wolobobo except in certain rooms that require humidity condi ons and temperature regula on for the technical opera onal needs of the botanical garden. Semi Greenhouse: The building inside Kebun Raya Wolobobo is designed with the concept of semigreenhouse. This concept is considered appropriate because the temperature of the region is very cold, a design that u lizes a lot of glass can maximize sunlight that enters the room and raises the temperature in the room. Local Material: Ngada Regency has an abundant poten al of bamboo resources. Bamboo can be used as a roof, wall coverings, and suppor ng structures both interior and exterior. The use of bamboo material can be a tradi onal symbol and be close to nature. Bamboo can also give the impression of warmth and strong local accents. The building design will combine bamboo, steel and glass.
Determina on of the concept of building structures to support Kebun Raya Wololobo is based on func onal aspects, ease of implementa on, economy, ability to accommodate building users. The recommended shape and structure of the building must be adjusted to the structural condi ons of the land to be built and other related aspects. The shape of the building design at Kebun Raya Wololobo displays a symbol of local wisdom. The material used for building roofs adjusts to the opera onal technical needs of using glass and steel. The use of glass is intended to increase natural ligh ng and room temperature in the building. The use of bamboo and stone materials can also improve local characteris cs. With this architectural design, it can create buildings that are environmentally friendly and s ll maintain the preserva on of Kebun Raya Wololobo.
