Dear Lions, Lionesses, Lion Ladies and Friends,
Seasons Greetings and wishing you all a Happy Srikhara Ugadi. Today as we enter into the month of April we are in last quarter of this Lionistic year. Looking back in this year we did achieve sizeable service activities and certainly in our permanent projects where we can feel happy. Lions Bhavan Kabra 'N' Savla Auditorium Renovated : Lions Bhavan Kabra 'N' Savla Auditorium was renovated into a wonderful air conditioned auditorium at a cost more than twenty lakhs. The credit goes to our esteemed District Governor Lion Surat Singh Malhotra as a the Chairman of Lions Bhavan Trust. He took all the pains along with his Committee to renovate the auditorium. The auditorium was inaugurated on 30th March 2011 by our District Governor. In the presence of District Governors, Past District Governors of Districts 324C2, C3, C5, C6 this grand function marked its importance along with Lion Ramesh Kosuri, Multiple Council 324C Chairman who graced the function and congratulated the team. Today Lions Bhavan is ready with an Auditorium with excellent ambience that suits for any corporate, big organizations to hold their meetings with very good infrastructure. This new auditorium in a gallery type sitting can easily accommodate 300 chairs with moving space and a large stage. Honouring our District Governor Observing Month of March as the month to Honour our District Governor our two Vice District Governors took the lead along with our City Lions and other Clubs in our District to Honour our District Governor Lion Surat Singh Malhotra. Immediately after inaugurating the newly renovated Auditorium this function was arranged at a time when India was playing the semifinals with Pakistan in World Cup tournament. It was undoubtedly a great victory for India winning the match, undoubtedly a grand thrilling evening for all the Lions watching the match and cheering our District Governor with garlands, bouquets, shawls and citation. It was felt by everyone a grand evening worth every minute. Success of the programme was due to the untiring efforts made by Lion Juluri Ramesh Babu, First District Governor and Second Vice District Governor Lion N.N.Murthy. The programme was compered by Lion N.Mohan Doss and we also had the opportunity of hearing our International Director endorsee Lion R.Sunil Kumar addressing the gathering. Specially designed Yellow Pages of our District 324C2 was released on the same day by Lion Chenna Kishen Reddy, Past District Governor. Kudos to Lion B Suryaprakash, who worked for getting this book release and putting all his efforts in completing a long cherish desire of our District Governor Lion S.S.Malhotra. District Governor's Official Club Visits : All most 70 percent of Clubs completed their official function - visit of the Governor to their Club. Due to some unavoidable reasons and also due

Five eminent personalities from various walks of life were honoured on this occasion. Lion Surat Singh Malhotra District Governor participated as the Chief Guest along with Lion Surinder Kaur, First Lady of the our District took active part in every event that started from morning 9 am and went on till 5:30 p.m. Lion Surinder Kaur stressed on "Mahila Reservation Bill" and promote the ladies in the social life in a better way. Competitions were held to show the talents of Mahila. Lion Anuradha Mohan Rao and Lion N.Mohan Doss helped in conducting the programme. Music Competitions : Music contest was conducted on 28th February at Ananda Marga School at Saidabad. A school for orphans consisting 160 students studying from classes Nursery to IX. Competition was conducted for all the classes. Lion S.S.Malhotra District Governor was the Chief Guest. Lion Juluri Ramesh Babu First Vice District Governor and Lion N.N.Murthy Second Vice District Governor were Guests of Honour. District Governor donated 5,000 /- on behalf of the district for 20 orphan students for their school dress. As a part of motivation few questions were asked by our Second Vice District Governor and the children who answered correctly were gifted by books on the spot. Few songs and dances were performed by the students of the school and this was well appreciated by one and all. One orphan student Ramu of class 1 impressed everyone and Lion M V Chary has announced immediately that this boy was adopted by his host club for his further education and was rewarded with cash. Prize distribution for all the winners of all the classes were given by Lion S. S. Malhotra, Lion Juluri Ramesh Babu Lion N.N. Murthy, Lion G.Prabhakar Region Chairman. Clubs that are getting ready to pay the dues before the stipulated time for elections must clear the payments either by Cash or by DD only. No Cheques and Xerox copies of Cheques will be valid. Please avoid embarrassment to yourself, your Club and also the Credential Committee. Our District Governor is very firm on this matter and we request you to please co-operate.
International News Earth Day 22nd April 2011 The focal point of this year's presidential theme "A Beacon of Hope" is service. To show the strength of our worldwide network and to shine our light even brighter, Lions have the opportunity to participate in four special service action campaigns throughout the year and one of them is April - Protecting our planet. Implement projects that improve and protect the environment. Organize a highway cleanup, plant trees or plan a community "Earth Day" (22nd April) event to collect recyclable such as aluminum cans, plastic bottles, used cell phones and batteries.
Honour, Region Chairman, Lion M.V. Chary and other Lion members present by Event Chairperson Lion Jayanthi Ranganath. Everybody appreciated for the excellent way this programme was organized and felt our motto "We Serve" was very apt here. Congratulation to Lion Jayanthi Ranganath. Region conferences: By the end of March all the 6 Regions have completed their respective Region meets. During this month of March Lion M. Prem Kumar, Region Chairperson II (Sarv Shreshta) on 18th March 2011 and Lion G. Hanumantha Rao, Region Chairperson V (Sarv Shaktimaan) on 25th March 2011, organized their respective Region Conferences in a very festive ambience. Awards and rewards were given to the winners. Mega Medical Camp : Region I Serv Pratham Region Chairman Lion G. Prabhakar organized a mega Medical Camp at RD Function Hall, Chatrinaka, old City in association with Lions Club of Hyderabad Bhagyanagar and the Doctors team. Home Club Lions Club of Hyderabad Neo Elite was the Host. Free spectacles and free medicines were distributed to the needy. A team of Doctors in Surgery, Cardiology, Eye testing, General Medicine, Gynecology, Skin and Dental were present to give their services to the patients. On 9th April all roads lead to Family World We are moving towards 30th District Convention on 9th and 10th of April 2011 to be held at Family World, Begumpet, Hyderabad. The Convention on 9th April starts at 4:30 pm with Banner Presentation followed by Inaugural Ceremony and later well awaited Banquet. Second day the 10th April at the same venue at 8 a.m. we start with necrology, business session, elections and convention awards. All the Lions who are registered as Roaring Lions are taken as pre registered delegates. Liquor for each Registered Delegate is 2 pegs free of cost and for additional peg it will be on payment. Lions Club of Hyderabad our senior Club in our District are the Hosts for this Convention. Past District Governor Lion A.Ranga Rao is the Chairman of the Organising Committee and under his able leadership all of us are sure it will be undoubtedly a grand and memorable Convention. Yes, dear Lions "Seeing is believing." Before I end this month 'sandesh' let me take this opportunity to thank every Club cooperating in my work and bringing their Clubs to a greater height.

Forth Coming Events Second Annual Convention Multiple District 324C Very IMPORTANT Second Annual Convention Multiple District 324C under the leadership of Lion Ramesh Kosuri will be held on 14th and 15th May 2011 at Sree Seetharama Gardens, Edupugallu, Vijayawada. This Convention will be very important for Lions District 324C2 where our International Director Endorsee Lion R.Sunil Kumar will be contesting to get the endorsement from our Multiple 324C. Please get the details from our District Office and please plan your presence at Vijayawada to make our Candidate win the elections.
