How to Read the Activity/Course Information

School Breakaway (7-12 Yrs) Looking to try something new and spend a little time outdoors while you’re off school? Come join us at Oak Point Recreation Center! You’ll meet new friends, explore the woods on a hike, aim for the bull’s-eye on the archery range, test your fishing skills, create cool nature crafts, and engage in a variety of gym games. Facemasks must be worn at all times. 34932 OPC M-F 9am-2pm 3/8 5 Staff $125 The title of the course is SCHOOL BREAKAWAY. The Course Code is 34932, and it meets at OAK POINT RECREATION CENTER on MONDAY-FRIDAY from 9am-2pm, begins MARCH 8, meets 5 times, the instructor is STAFF and the fee for this course is $125. ARB = Arbor Hills Nature Preserve NRC = Oak Point Park Nature & Retreat Center OPC = Oak Point Recreation Center Online = Online Class

Arbor Hills Adventure (4 Yrs & Up) Come out and explore the natural wonders of Arbor Hills Nature Preserve. A Texas Master Naturalist will guide you along the way. Each month will be a different theme. Children 12 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Everyone attending must register. Come identify native plants and wildlife habitats while learning about why it is important to protect our environment. Don’t forget your flashlight! Children 12 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is per family. Facemasks must be worn at all times. 34774 NRC Sa 5:30pm-7pm 1/23 1 Roome $5 34775 NRC Sa 6pm-7:30pm 2/20 1 Roome $5 Nature at Night (10 Yrs & Up) See a different side to nature, exploring the stars and night sky! A trained guide will take you through the nature preserve while you learn about the many constellations, how to navigate at night, astronomy, and even the nocturnal animals in the area. There is walking on both concrete and unpaved trails. Registration is per family. Facemasks must be worn at all times. 34776 NRC F 8pm-9:30pm 1/29 1 Camp $5 34777 NRC F 8pm-9:30pm 2/26 1 Camp $5 Nature of Oak Point Park Guided Walk (4 Yrs & Up) Walk along beautiful Rowlett Creek, through an old growth forest, or amble through a meadow of prairie wildflowers. The beauty and diversity of Oak Point Park & Nature Preserve will amaze you on this guided walk. Learn about the birds, plants, animals, and more, including their names, historic uses, and hidden secrets. Children 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
