We recently spoke to a candidate who had just passed our International Investment Operations (IOC) Qualification. We asked him about his experiences studying with Fitch Learning: What prompted you to take the exam?

I work in asset management and I wanted to get an industry qualification under my belt that was recognised across the globe. My day job is mainly concentrated on the operations side of the business and I thought it would be a good idea to look at a qualification that reflected that.

Did you have any concerns before sitting the IOC? Like most people, I was worried about failing! But the prospectus put my mind at rest, as it clearly outlined what would be expected of me throughout the course. This gave me a clear roadmap to follow, and reassured me that I was doing all I could to prepare for the exam.

How did you approach your study for the IOC? I liked how Fitch Learning set out the syllabus in manageable chunks, so I broke down each section of the qualification into logical sections, and took each one step by step. That way, I wasn’t overwhelmed by the amount of material I had to cover.
