LETTER FROM THE DIRECTOR Welcome to our 9th Annual Parish Dance Performance! What an unexpected year it has been for dance. We are blessed as artists to have also been given a platform to stretch our imagination and create remarkable works that are performed by these incredible dancers. This year has made me appreciate our community even more. Between the support of the faculty, staff, administrative team and all of our parents, this has been a testament to what our community can accomplish. As we continue to move forward and persevere, I couldn’t be more proud of what you will see this evening. To Dance I, Dance II, and Dance Company, I want to thank you for working diligently each day on both platforms to learn choreography and take corrections from a distance, and then returning to the studio ready to work together. I always enjoy my classes but having you all back, has made me appreciate the time spent and the relationships built with each of you. The “NOBLE” what can I say. After nine years, I am so grateful to officially begin the process of moving into our new facility! cannot show my gratitude enough to each of youwho has been a part of this. I know will elevate all who enter. Once again, I am beyond grateful and I know the dancers are as well! Thank you to my husband Marshal and amazing daughter Landrie for enduring and supporting my long days and nights. To my mom Francine who has always supported my passion and now helps me balance my first passion with my eternal passion, Landrie. As always, greatest thanks to my Lord and Savior for the talent, strength and continued endurance he has given me to dance and to share the love of dance with my students!

TEACHER BIOGRAPHIES JESSICA ROBINSON has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance with an emphasis on performance and
choreography from the University of Southern Mississippi. She began her dance career as a member of the dance/drill team in 7th grade and participated through graduation from high school. Once at college, Jessica was a member of her college dance/drill team and served as captain for three years. After receiving her degree, she performed for Walt Disney World and Holland America Cruise Lines and then went on to pursue teaching dance, which she has done for more than 21 years. During the course of her career, Jessica successfully started the City Dance program for the International Ballet Competition; taught at the Performing Arts School in Jackson, Mississippi; directed the Academy for Dallas Black Dance Theatre; and taught dance and served as director of competition teams for local studios. This is Jessica’s ninth year at Parish where she is currently teaching Middle and Upper School dance and is the Director of Parish Dance Company and the Director of ParishEXTEND Dance Academy.
MEGHAN BOWEN holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Theater from the University of Texas and is a
former Kilgore College Rangerette she served as Head Swingster. After college, Meghan moved to New York where she studied and taught at Broadway Dance Center. She has been on the National tour of “Fame” the musical. Some of her favorite performances include Good Morning America, Times Square New Year’s Eve, Six Flags Great Adventure, and Holland America Cruise Lines. Meghan has had the opportunity to choreograph for MTV, MTV2, the Kilgore College Rangerettes as well as several prestigious drill teams across Texas. She is a seven year staff member at Encore Creative Productions Officer Camp. This is Mrs. Bowen’s second year at Parish as the Rosettes Director and MS dance teacher.
KARLEE FAIRCLOTH grew up dancing at Cenla Academy of Performing Arts in Alexandria, Louisiana. She received training in ballet, tap, and jazz dance. She was a member of the dance/drill team from grade through high school. After graduating high school, Jones attended Louisiana State University where she was a member of the LSU Golden Girls. For three years with the Golden Girls, she danced at football games with the LSU Tiger Band and represented the University at on and off campus events. Upon graduation, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders, and received a general and special education teaching certification. Jones teaches PreK at Highland Park Presbyterian Day School and enjoys teaching ParishEXTEND dance classes after school.
TEACHER BIOGRAPHIES HANNAH SMITH is thrilled to be a part of the EXTEND Dance Academy. Her journey as a teacher
began when she served as captain of the Bishop Lynch Brigade, and she has not stopped since. Hannah currently teaches dance, drama and voice, and choreographs musicals for local productions. In March 2019 she choreographed Mamma Mia at Company of Rowlett Performers. When she is not teaching, Hannah loves to step out on stage. Her favorite roles include Bambi in Curtains, Penny in Hairspray, and Scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz. Hannah is grateful to have such an intelligent group of students and is thrilled for them to show you their hard work!
JAZLYN WHITLOWE has studied dance since the age of three. She was a competitive dancer for several years and has trained in all levels and many styles of dance, including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical and more. Adrienne Dellas Thornton, Keith Clark, Dr. Linda Quinn and Lee Wei Chao are just a few of the master instructors she has studied under. In 2009, Jazlyn had the privilege of being cast as a dancer in the film The Beacon. She has been a member of Movers Unlimited Touring Dance Company under the direction of Dr. Kihyoung Choi and is currently pursuing degrees in interior design and dance. She has taught dance at Dana’s Studio of Dance, Apex Academy and Come Read With Me. Jazlyn has a passion for working with the special needs community. She is thrilled to teach her Parish students all that she has learned through dance.
