THE NEW S60 FULLY HYDRAULIC TYRE CHANGER COMES FROM SICE, AN ITALIAN LEADER IN HEAVY VEHICLE TYRE CHANGERS FOR DECADES

The flagship S60 tyre changer is specifically designed for truck, bus, tractor, and earthmoving vehicles. It will handle wheels and tyres up to 3000kg, 1800mm wide, and with a maximum diameter of 3000mm — which is pretty much everything. The self-centering chuck has a wide clamping capacity from 14-in up to 60-in, with a centre hole as small as 110mm. The 50-in to 60-in range is covered with supplied extensions.

The new design incorporates a hydraulic motor to drive the rotating spindle, which offers advantages over previous electric motors, not least delivering 5500Nm of torque through the threespeed hydraulic motor. The chuck rotates at 6, 8, or 10rpm, with manual speed adjustment for tyre grooving. The new tool unit is designed for heavyduty use. Redesigned components including a reinforced bead breaking disk, and aero-derivative bearings allow a bead breaking force delivery of 45,000N.

The tool arm, with automatic lifting and rotation, provides maximum comfort and ease of use for the operator. Independent movement between the clamping assembly and tool arm carriage allows fast and precise positioning of the wheel. The new control console also reflects the focus on ergonomics and functionality.

The control unit uses radio control and is mounted on wheels, which makes it fully portable so that the operator can work comfortably from anywhere around the wheel with no cables getting in the way. Standard accessories include tyre levers, clamping pliers for mounting the tyre to rim, a tubeless roller tool, and 50-in to 60in clamping extensions.
