CoolDrive expands New Zealand operations

COOLDRIVE AUTO PARTS IS EXPANDING ITS OPERATIONS IN NEW ZEALAND WITH THE OPENING OF A NEW BRANCH IN HAMILTON

CoolDrive’s new branch based in Te Rapa, Hamilton, also gives the automotive parts distributor a new main distribution centre for all of New Zealand.

Overseeing operations is CoolDrive New Zealand’s general manager, Aaron Carr, who has relocated from Auckland to Hamilton.

“The opening of this new branch is a logical decision based around strong customer support and demand in the region, which had previously been serviced by two remote representatives,” Aaron Carr said.

“It’s incredibly exciting to be increasing CoolDrive’s presence and bringing such leading brands to the area. The location is a great distribution hub for the central North Island and we have a strong following that requires service and supply. Our customers asked, we listened, and responded accordingly.”

Supporting Aaron Carr at Hamilton will be a team of eight, including branch manager Brent Harris, who has relocated from CoolDrive Mt Wellington’s operations. Long-term South Auckland sales representative Sam Wilburn has been appointed branch manager at Mt Wellington.

CoolDrive established official operations in New Zealand five years ago, and the current expansion shows the level of support it has won in the local automotive market.

Setting up Auckland’s Mt Wellington and Albany branches first, CoolDrive then expanded into Christchurch to service the South Island.

“Our product offering has grown significantly over this time, as well as our team, and this development into a distribution centre will enable us to offer even more quality products and brands,” added CoolDrive New Zealand’s national sales manager Peter Connelly.

As part of this recent operations expansion, CoolDrive has also launched a new van delivery service across its New Zealand branch network.
