Careone

On May 18th, Key Clubbers celebrated a birthday at Careone! We cut the birthday cake into slices, which we then handed out to the senior citizens. Spending time with the elderly in our community and getting to know them was definitely the highlight of our day.

Trivia Night Trivia Night was the freshman class project, and was held in the PHS media center. Everyone enjoyed the trivia and the snacks!

3

Take it Outside PHS Key Clubbers geomapped local parks to help with the NJ Department of Environmental Protection's Take it Outside project. We took pictures of Volunteers and Jannarone park for the service activity.

Kiwanis Breakfast On June 1, The PHS Key Club officers and LTG Stephanie Shen joined our parent Kiwanis Club for their weekly Kiwanis breakfast meeting at Empire Diner. We learned about the events and fundraisers planned by the organization and how our Key Club can become even more involved in community events.

Redstock

PHS Key Clubbers held a sponge and bucket race station as well as bean bag game station in this year's annual Redstock. Children in our community had a lot of fun playing the games! 7

Relay for Life Relay for life is based on the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day cancer will be eliminated.

At this year's Relay for Life Event, Key Clubbers served food to survivors and caregivers. They also helped set up luminaries in honor and in memory of those who have been affected by cancer.

Kiss a Senior Goodbye On the week of June 14th, we held a fundraiser that allowed us to show our love and appreciation for our seniors. We allowed people to write personalized messages to seniors, and the officers created goodie bags with Hershey Kisses inside for them. The bags were then delivered to the seniors during homeroom. The fundraiser was a success, as we sold 80 bags.

Member of the Month

Congratulations to Neil Khare for earning Member of the Month! As a freshman class project director he planned a very successful event, Trivia Night! He made great use of his communication skills while planning the event. He also finds time to attend many of our other service activities!
