Family member names: Shane and Faith Ecklund Street: Fowler Cir. Pets: Ellie Mae is a tiny 6-year-old Havanese and Bentley is a massive 7-month-old English Cream Goldendoodle.

Profession(s): Shane is the Executive Director of Sales at USS, a Security Technology Company, where he implements security solutions for large retail and commercial applications. Faith is a former personal stylist for Nordstrom (13 years), but now is able to do what brings her the most joy, leading worship. She is the Worship Leader for the Women’s Ministry at Grace Chapel in Leipers Fork. Faith also teaches Piano to Ladd Park neighborhood kids and she is a co-author of the children’s book, Our Friends In Chairs With Wheels. Shane and Faith co-direct the Young Adult Ministry at Grace Chapel as well.

Favorites Activities/Hobbies: We love to kayak, bike ride and spend time with our friends and dogs. Shane hunts, fishes and watches anything Seattle sportsrelated. Faith is a tremendous shopper. She is on the wall of fame in several local businesses and national retailers. They’re grateful for her full-time support!

Park/Play area/Hang out: As long as we have a mortgage, we are going to hang out at home

and enjoy every square inch of our house and yard.

Restaurants: Mostly Shane’s backyard grilling and his BBQ, but we do enjoy Tito’s, Wild Ginger and Bonefish for Bang Bang Shrimp!

Vacation destination: Hawaii and Mazatlán, Mexico are our favorites,but if the destination has a beach we are happy.

Sports teams: Shane is a sold-out Seattle Seahawks, Seattle Mariners and University of Washington Huskies fan. Faith is not a fan, but will watch if forced to.

TV show/Movie: Anything comedy. We love to laugh.

Music: Gospel and some Country Family dinner: Faith loves homemade soup, any time of year, even if it’s July. Shane loves backyard slow and low BBQ, even if it’s January.

Do you have any family traditions? Faith’s family has several gifted singers, which makes Christmas Eve a great night of carols around the piano.

What college/university did you attend?

Faith attended the University of Washington where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Business and also attended Bible College where she received an AA degree in church leadership and ministry.

Shane played College Basketball at S. Puget Sound and studied Theology at Berean School of Bible.

Where are you originally from? We were both born and raised 30 miles south of Seattle in Tacoma, WA. How long have you lived in this neighborhood?

We have lived in the neighborhood for three years.

What do you like to do to relax? We love to hang out on our backyard patio with friends and neighbors.

How are you involved in the community? We are very active in our church. We attend Grace Chapel in Leipers Fork. We do some community outreach at women’s shelters and local churches who need support in the music or audio/visual areas.

If you have kids, what activities are they involved with? No kiddos. We stick with dogs.

What is your favorite part about living in your neighborhood? Our neighbors are incredible! Best we’ve ever had.
