OPPOSITES ATTRACT

Two children were born in different places and times, Rafaela on 5th August 2006 in Brazil and Chloe on 10th January 2008 in Portugal. They didn’t know what awaited them. Rafaela is quiet, introvert, cold and sincere. Chloe is the complete opposite, intense, extrovert, and full of love to give.

Rafaela moved to Portugal in 2020 during the pandemic to attend school. On the first day she felt lost. While she was at break, she hurt a girl. They looked at each other – it was Chloe. Chloe apologized and asked if she was new at school. Rafaela didn’t like her very much so the only thing she did was walk away. Chloe was a little sad by her attitude but decided to ignore it.

Some months later, Chloe tried to become Rafaela’s friend but she refused, until one day she decided to give it a chance and they started talking. Chloe, such an intense girl, showed incredible things to Rafaela.

Two years have passed, and they are still together. They learned a lot from each other and today – St. Patrick’s Day - they are inseparable - an example of opposites’ attraction.

On March 17th, Lettuce was parading on St. Patrick's Day in her beautiful green clothes. Cucumber was drinking a good vegetable juice with his big green hat on his head.

After drinking his juice Cucumber paraded through the streets dancing and jumping. Near the ice cream parlour, Cucumber and Lettuce bumped into each other while jumping wildly. Cucumber apologized to her and told her that she was very pretty. Lettuce apologized too and said that he was also very handsome. Cucumber and Lettuce agreed to eat an ice cream and then continue to parade through the green streets.

After the parties, they went to the beach to watch the sunset and the incredible blue sea. They were sitting on the sand and to the sound of a beautiful wave when they had their first passionate kiss.

Pepino took Lettuce to a candlelit dinner later in the day. After dinner he called a band, and they sang a romantic song. Cucumber prosed to Lettuce and they lived happily ever after.

A group of friends were at school in Dublin, the capital of Ireland. They were reading about St. Patrick’s Day, when they decided to go looking for the famous pot of gold.

They searched in books and on the Internet about it. They found out that it was in a cave near their town. Two days after the famous March 17, the group of friends arrived at the cave. When they entered, they felt a cold and strange sensation as if someone was watching them. At the entrance of the cave, they found a map which led them to the treasure. They went through several challenges like going through a hole full of snakes, goblins with small swords, and much more...

After going through all this, the friends found the pot full of gold. When their parents arrived home, they were very happy.

ST. PATRICK'S DAY IN STYLE

On a sunny day in March, my friends and I decided to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in style. We put on green t-shirts and shamrock hats and head to the local pub.

When we arrived, the green and gold decoration surprised us, as well as the lively music played by the DJ from the corner of the pub. We bought some cold beers and joined the party. While drinking and dancing, we met new people and even made friends with a group of Irish people who were on holiday in town. They told us fun stories about their St Patrick's celebrations in Dublin and taught us some typical Irish dances. The night passed quickly, and before we knew it, it was late. We left happy we had such a fun night, but tired enough to sleep soundly.

On St. Patrick's Day the following year, we repeated the same celebration and fondly remember the stories and experiences shared in the previous year. Since then, the tradition has continued and every year we find new ways to celebrate our friendship and Irish culture.

It was St. Patrick's Day. My friend and I were excited to celebrate it. We'd put on green sweatshirts and pixie hats and hit the streets in search of fun.

First, we went to an Irish pub, where the music was loud, and people were dancing and singing. We ordered a can of iced tea.

After a few hours at the pub, we decided to go to a party at a nearby house. There were more people in green clothes and cloverleaf hats, and the music was even louder.

We had a lot of fun dancing and singing together. At one point, someone started playing some traditional Irish music, and we started dancing in circles with other people around.

The night passed quickly, and we ended up going home together, tired but happy. It was such a memorable day for us that we promise to repeat the celebration the following year.
