During the height of the American Civil War, a fierce battle took place on St. Patrick's Day in 1863. The Union Army advanced into Confederate territory and was met with stiff resistance.

When the sun rose on March 17, both armies prepared for battle. The Union troops wore green sashes and pinned shamrocks to their hats in honour of their Irish heritage. The Confederates, however, were not in a celebratory mood and saw this as an opportunity to strike a blow against the Union.

The fighting was intense, with both sides suffering heavy losses. Union soldiers fought valiantly, but the Confederate forces were too strong. The battle lasted for hours, with neither side gaining a clear advantage.

As the sun began to set, the Union troops found themselves surrounded on all sides. With no hope of escape, they prepared to make their last stand. But then, something miraculous happened. The sound of bagpipes filled the air and a group of Irish soldiers from the Confederate side appeared, playing "Danny Boy".

This was a revolution, and the story ends with a happy end.
