The competition task was to fill a blank with the cultural function. I've decided to revitalize 115 years old gas container and to make him funcionate as a view point, an amfitheatre and a majestic performance space inside.
Wh er e? In Gdansk City Centre where cultural ifrastructure has naver appeared. Located in the border between historical sprawl and post-industrial land-waste.
Ol d to wn h is t o r i c
Wh y ? If somebody from XIXth century would travel in time he would never expect Bankside Power Station in London as the biggest modern art exhibition space in Europe. Post-industrial structures have to be adapted in a creative way for people's use.
How? Current contruction has been used to provide spiral ramp leading people to the top of 33 meter high gas container. Picturesque 360 degree view is achievable from the point. Roofing has been adapted as a parametric designed tribune with a performance scene in the summer and an ice rink in the winter. Inside a building a vast space for performative art has been provided.

Wh at? Hall of residence for students who want to use their creativity and passion to establish and develop start-up companies.
Wh y? Gdańsk University of Technology’s campus is not student - friendly designed. There is a visible lack of places to study. Students mainly sit down in noisy corridors, on uncomfortable seats often with no access to electricity supply. This background was an inspiration to design place which is not only a perfect accommodation but a place of building business perspective. Facts:
75%
of students think there is a neccesity for modern study places
64%
of people creating start-up’s are 20 - 30 years old the biggest companies has been established by students In 2015 Gdansk University of Technology has scored the biggest amount of patents in the scale of the country
Wh er e? Hall has been situated in the surrounding of the two biggest universities in Gdańsk. Vicinity of well developed sport, park and communication amenities makes this place attractive for student-life. Ambience of the sprawl is provided by multiply 3-4 storey villas in the street. That was crucial factor in a architectural form of the building.
H ow? I have designed unique building’s programme to provoke students to unconventional thinking. It is called Think, Relax, Discuss & Create Strategy. It consists of different areas which are located dependently to each other.

T h e e p i c e n t r e Prada Flagship Store and Jamie Oliver restaurant + siteplan design which contributes to public space year: 2016 type: 6th semester studio my role: entire project location: Poland, Gdansk, Wrzeszcz District
What ? Prada Flagship Store is the first branch of the brand on the Polish territory. The location of the building will raise the prestige of the sorrounding and promotion of the whole district.
Where? Wrzeszcz is one of the biggest and best commercially accessible district in Gdansk. Project cretes a new district's centre which was lacking over years.
Why? In the district there is no night life, and people travell from point to point. Vast communicational artery divides district into two autonomical pieces. An intervention is needed to provide a public space and to create a city centre.
How? Concept is to put main communication artery underground and to place a public space on the top of it. This strategical move would contribute a quality of lifing and make district people friendly place. The location of the building will raise the prestige of the sorrounding and promotion of the whole district. Prada fashion showrooms usually uses a checkerboard pattern on the floor. I decided to transfer the pattern on the eastern façade designing black cubic boxes, which also have unique functional purpose. Inside the specialroom, on the ground floor and the first floor has been provided exhibit space for outstanding collections.

URBAN ANALYSIS The Riverside Museum, 750 000 tourists each year
Lack of attractive access and usage of the surrounding area near Old Parish Govan church. This is a distinctive building with potential for alluring public space.
The Old Parish Govan Church. Restored in 2014, ready for tourism.
River Clyde as a disconnection. No bridges in the surrounding area. This is one of the major problems in this field. Govan needs bridges no more borders which stop natural movement between parts of Glasgow.
Graving docks, enormous potential which will be used in next years.
Closed sprawl in the middle of the map impedes access from the Govan Road to the river. Green arrow means that there is a visible connection albeit no continuation.
Over 700 000 people visit Riverside museum but they have no access to the Govan district. Separated church which is a legacy of Govan’s ancestors is totally separated and inaccessible. Graving docks on the Eastern Side of Govan they have enormous potential for baths or cultural place. Connection between those three most valuable places is necessary to improve social and tourism aspects.

Hospice for people aged 16-24 years old. Design has involved meticulous care about psychological aspect of space division. "The democracy of space" is a key word for building understanding. Palliative care at this stage of live is a highly sensitive matter which had to be precisely analysed.
Diagram shows the intensity of activity in a particular place. It contributes to patient's convenience of choice of space's sensitivity.
Plot
W h er e? In Govan district of Glasgow, next to the Clyde River. Area with the biggest potential for development in the city. Proximity of City Centre and the Riverside Museum (by Zaha Hadid) makes a tourist potential highly reliable. Decision of putting the Hospice in a bustling-prospective area is seemingly controversial but that is the only way to provide true diversity of spaces in the surrounding of motoric-limited patients.
Tectonic noise shield
Why? Sensitivity of palliative care for young people is extremely high in Great Britain. Project contributes to the approach that palliative care should be in a proximity of the public space. Patients feel inclusive to the society which boosts their mind stability.
H ow? Democracy of space is a specific solution for the mental development of patients. Following idea I did various analysis to put each sort of space in the proximity of the building. Public, semi public, semi private and private space has been design due to sun orientation and grade of view attraction as well. FROM ACTIVE TO PASSIVE diagram shows which kinds of spatial activity can patient choose in depending on his needs or mood.

The main objective of the project is to allocate villa in the urban fabric.
Wh er e? The plot is located in the heart of Gdynia, in the Lutego 10 street , which is the main compositional axis East-West of Gdynia’s modernist urban plan. It combines the main hub of the city’s most frequented place Gdynia - Kosciuszko Square. The plot is situated between two 5-storey multi-family buildings which create the street frontage.

Our proposal complements the gap repairing frontage, at the same time revitalizing the aesthetics of the place. As the plot is in the frontage hole, this demanded vertically inversed functional programme. It proves that villa may remain in a dense city centre fabric with the same traditional zoning. The color of the facade is justified by the modernist, white tone of the city. The façade adapts to the part of day thanks to kinetical sun-shields which prevent unnecessary heating of the windows, enhance the privacy of citizens, at the same time showing the living elevation performance depending on the part of the day.

height differences, while increasing the privacy of the complex. Another advantage of the building is the original facade system. Due to the small distance between the buildings used the curtain system. It is built from wooden profiles Siberian spruce. They swivel axis and Thermostats, so you can adjust the sunlight from outside and ensures less heat on the window directly.ALso less energy will be burnt to remove heat indoors.
Design challenge is to propose multi housing sprawl and the service passage along Czubińskiego Street. Privacy is the biggest drawback of building terraces. A number of design decisions that contribute to the comfort of privacy. Ideogram shows the process of thinking, which allowed to avoid „neighbor peeking through the window.” Analysis has showen that by moving the blocks to each other by one-module step, and offset from the edge of the residents decking by one meter wide pots, succeeded in obtaining a high standard of privacy.

Another challenge was the diverced ground level. For this reason, the entire complex has been built on one disc parking. This reduced

The si de l in e h ouse year: 2014 type: academic my role: entire project location: Poland, Gdansk, 16 Kapliczna street
Sideline house supports the interests of the family by unsusual zoning system and . The plot is located 70m from the Gdansk Gulf. Due to the profile of a family - a building has unusual zoning system. As shown in the diagrams, driveway to the garage of the building passes through the garden. This spatial idea emits two zones with different functions. One is a garden for the household, and other space is dedicated to equip rentals for water sports. Tectonic zoning makes borders very direct and physical. There are clear barriers which make user know that particular space belongs to defined zoning area. Due to this trick the garage is 1,5m underground which impacts the dynamic form of the building. Inside the building daily zone is a open-space architectural solution. The night zone is on the half-floor, which makes inner zoning clear. The facade has an original system of sun-shields. Those are mounted in the cornice, which extends beyond the face of the building. Residents can adjust manually or automatically curtain’s translucency, which gives illusionary effects from the outside of the buidling. The building which is located on the obligatory line of urban composition, this is a writer’s room, which overlooks the garden, can transfer your inspirations on paper. Construction of the building is based on the solid reinforced foundations, due to the high groundwater level. The building was designed in a way that gives him energy

estate Gdansk University of Technology intends to build housing for the polytechnic graduate students, university staff, and more. The plot is located in a location that allows a 10-minute drive to the university by public transport. The first phase of the project was to carry out a number of analyzes. The place is attractive because of the interesting tectonic and altitude, which allows you to reach the sea, or Gdańsk Main Town with an outstanding church of St. Mary.
Gaza daily are turned towards the south, which provides a comfortable sun exposure and allows for convenient use of spatial rooms. This concept proves that choosing an appropriate urban form can create buildings, interiors and urban landscape interesting even in a difficult terrain and make the architecture with it’s own unique charm. Limitations are not barriers, but guidelines for creative design.

On the top terrace there has been designed viewing platform, which makes it easier to observe the panorama of the city, and thus is the end of the historical walking trail that connects the park Jaśkowa Valley. In the northern part of the complex terrain is very steep which resulted in a reduction of sprawl’s height. This part turned out to be the most challenging in etire project due to weak sunlight, drops and trailing lines. Street has been designed along the drain line to drain water and to prevent slipping of the ground, which could damage the bearing structure of buildings. Houses are faced to the sunlight.

The concept takes into account pedestrian communication between the data access functions settlements and forgotten historical walking trail. Due to tectonic difficulties I have decided to diversify types of buildings. Multi-family housing are located in a less steep, southern part of the plot. These buildings are 3-5 storeys tall and carrie ground-floor services near the rushest street. At the highest point of the plot is a dominant altitude. There are services like restaurants, caffees, boutiques and offices.

The design purpose was to popularise a neglected view point in Jaskowa Dolina Park in Gdansk. It was a grass-root initiative. We have managed to prepare a convincing project and we have received a budged from the government for the materials. Parametric composition out of neon-pinkish lines has been proposed. Between two layers of installation there is a view towards the sea. Viewpoint is still frequent, which is a positive feedback and a prove of successful project.
