HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL THREE THOUSAND PLUS MEMBERS OF PORSCHE CLUB OF AMERICA, GOLD COAST REGION!

As we embark on a new year, I wish you continued enjoyment of your PCA membership. I can insure you that your Board of Directors will do everything possible to ensure that goal.

Last month we held our election for positions within the Regions leadership. Those positions consist of President, Vice President, Treasure, Secretary, and five Director positions. We had an outstanding slate of people who were nominated and ran for those open positions.

As for the officers of the club, Dottie Kidd, Vice President, Cynthia Fluhart, Secretary, and Carolynn Ditrichs, Club Treasure, ran unopposed and will seamlessly transition into the new Board of Directors.

With completion of the elections, we have had some changes to the makeup of the Board. With my reelection to the Presidency the slate of Officers remains the same as before, where we have a change is in the slate of Directors. New Directors joining the Board for the first time, are Mark Johnson, Mike Del Poso, and Noemi Sanchez. I feel very confident that these new members will be as diligent in doing the Clubs business as the retiring members were.

The last big event we had was the Holiday Party that completes the year. The festivities were held at Margaritaville Beach Resort in Hollywood Florida, with the theme being Holiday in Paradise. Without a doubt this was a party. You can catch up on the details in this month’s Kassette.

The new year is going to be a challenge to the membership. Between Social Committee, Drivers Ed, Autocross and tours, the calendar is full. The problem the membership will have is to decide what events do they want to take part in.

I must also point out that this year The Gold Coast Region is celebrating it’s 60th Anniversary. We will be celebrating all year long with special aspects to our normal events that highlight the sixty years of Porsche fun that has been enjoyed by the Region.

In closing I want to thank those that served the past two years giving their time and energy in guiding this Club to continued success.
