fter more than a year of planning, Treffen Santa Barbara took place April 3rd thru the 6th.
Under the leadership of Barbara Spencer, Vice President, our Region provided more than 75 volunteers to help put on the event. Feedback from both the participants and from PCA was very positive. Especially pleasing to me was that more than 20% of our volunteers had not volunteered to help with an event before. I hope they enjoyed the experience and will volunteer for more events in the future, and I would like to thank all of our volunteers for making the event such a success!

From The Editor’s Desk
The wallapazoo was the PCA’s Treffen Santa Barbara, but equally exciting were several other events that gave us opportunities to truly appreciate our Porsches. In this issue of our Der Auspuff you will find stories on our participation and management of the Treffen (not the honor roll), two RUF experiences, and the California Festival of Speed. Plus, take a look at where you can restore your collectible Porsche, and then when it is worth well over $1 million, where you can store it. Good reading, with lots of photos . Everyone had a great two months of Porsche adventures – but not me!
NICOLAS LIAKAS
For the first time since 1995, I am Porscheless. I sold my 2008 997 Turbo Cabriolet in late February. I then placed an order for the 2020 C4S, 992 variety. Won’t arrive until the end of July, early August. I feel naked! I feel bummed! I feel out-of-place! An emptiness has overwhelmed my emotions, especially when I look at the bare slot in my garage. I sense that people are whispering “he does not own a Porsche” and looking down on me. Can’ t wait for the delivery and the experiences that will follow.

TOUR OF LARRY MARKHAM’S GARAGE Story and Photos by Randy Fishwick A lucky group of PCA Santa Barbara members took the opportunity to visit Larry Markham’s garage on Sunday, March 17, 2019. It’s an amazing place that is as much a living museum as it is a workshop; filled almost entirely with air-cooled Porsches. The majority are 356s in various states of repair, along with several 911s and 912s from the 60s. There were even a few seemingly outof-place 911 Turbos from the mid-70s, but not a water-cooled Porsche in sight! Larry gave an overview of his 30-plus years of Porsche repair and restoration experience as he showed us around his incredible garage. It is equipped with the hundreds of tools necessary for the complete maintenance of an air-cooled Porsche. This beautiful collection of cars is surrounded by shelves and shelves of parts, wheels, and body panels. Beyond being a mechanic’s dream, Larry has filled his warehouse-sized building with Porsche memorabilia. The walls are covered with classic photographs of racing Porsches from the 70s and 80s, older black and white photographs of the Porsche factory in Stuttgart, Germany, and personal photographs from Larry’s decades of involvement in the marque. Classic posters from bygone decades and Porsche-themed signs abound. The more you look around Larry Markham’s garage, the more you realize it’s not just a place to repair and restore older Porsches, but a shrine to air-cooled Porsche history as well!

LUXURY DIGS FOR YOUR PORSCHE: FINISH LINE AUTO STORAGE OPENS ITS DOORS TO PCA/SBR

hat’s this? Luxury auto storage? Condos for Porsches and other exotics? What is this?
You’ve heard of luxury pet hotels? Well, move over little doggies! Now there is an ultimate motor enthusiast facility and it is in our back yard. Finish Line Auto Storage, Westlake Village, is the ultimate “pamper your car with luxury” experience which offers a private, safe, and secure environment dedicated exclusively to owners of the vehicles after which we all lust. This is a dream world come true! SBR members Rick and Tony Principe (father and son) are preeminent experts in the commercial real estate market in the Conejo Valley and surrounding areas. They developed this project and proudly presented the new facility, in conjunction with Rusnak Westlake Porsche, during an April 14, 2019, reception/ open house. The physical layout was enhanced by exceptional vehicles, such as a Porsche 962 race car; Porsche RSR race car; 918 Spyders; GT2 RS’s; Carrera GT’s; 959’s; and many other incredible cars. I first met Rick about 15 years ago when he showed up for an SBR breakfast meeting at the Way-Point Café at the Camarillo Airport. He drove up in his Carrera GT and the gathering was mesmerized. Over the years Tony has been a friend of our region and assisted in several events by making his GT available. Not once has he said no to any of our requests. Tony and Rick presided over the tour of their exclusive 80,000 square foot facility. Fine Line Auto Storage is built to the highest standards and offers the discerning collector the opportunity to own a secure and customizable storage space in a country club environment. The complex offers gated and secured 24/7 card key access with exterior security cameras throughout, abundant parking, private entrances to each unit (including a private roll-up door), fire protection, high interior ceilings that are ideal for car lifts or mezzanines, and abundant electrical power. In addition to Rusnak personnel, representatives from the Petersen Museum and Porsche Cars North America were present. It was quite a gathering! Luxury digs for our exceptional cars; a marriage made in heaven.

or the 18th time, the California Festival of Speed again did not disappoint! It was a very busy weekend (March 29-31) for Porsche Club of America and Porsche Owners Club members and friends.
California Festival of Speed 2019 Edition
For those of us with diverse Porsche interests, this is the do not miss event every year. Everything is there, from models (of cars not the other kind), full size P Cars from stock to full race, hard to find parts new and old, Concours, Photography, Autocross, Time Trial or Club Racing! Furthermore, you can walk the paddock, talk with the drivers/racers, watch the grid, sample the food trucks, climb the infield stairs and watch the on-track action from on top the NASCAR pits, climb in your own car, do a guided track tour at lunch or, for the more adventurous, drive with a qualified instructor and get an introduction to learning to Autocross for free!!! A huge Thank you to all the Santa Barbara Region Volunteers! This enormous event only works this way because it is organized, run and staffed almost entirely by volunteers. (BTW - The secret is if you volunteer, you get amazing inside access and involvement for so much fun!) Come on out and enjoy with us in 2020!

R.U.F. Group Tours Historic Camarillo Ranch Story by Craig Chambers Photos by Craig Chambers & Randy Fishwick Historic Camarillo Ranch, site of the Camarillo family’s beautiful 1892 Queen Anne Victorian home, was the location of PCA/SBR’s R.U.F. (Retired & Unemployed Folks) March gathering. “We had about 18 RUF members attend” said Craig Chambers, RUF’s event chair, “and thanks to the helpful Camarillo Ranch Foundation staff, it was a very interesting and informative tour.” RUF members all thought that our docent tour guide, Mary Goldberg, did a great job of conducting the tour pointing out many of the home’s items belonging to the Camarillo family, historical photographs, extensive interior woodwork and period-appropriate furnishings. The Camarillo’s home and adjacent ranch property is where City of Camarillo as we know it today had its origins, making the tour that much more interesting.

GIMMICK RALLY Saturday, June 22, 2019
This is fun! Our drive will take us on some roads just perfect for Porsches. The rally will last somewhat over two hours of attentive driving and beautiful scenery. No racing here -- only careful powers of observation and clever thinking will put you in the winners’ circle. A bonding experience for you and your navigator. The top three teams as determined by the highest number of correct answers will be our prize winners. You will need a driver in a Porsche, a navigator (not a Lincoln), and a clipboard with pen or pencil. Water, sunglasses, and sunscreen will come in handy, too. Meeting time is 8:00 a.m. at Rusnak/Westlake Porsche, 3839 Auto Mall Drive, Thousand Oaks, where we’ll be offered complimentary coffee and pastries. The rally will end at Dos Vientos Center in Newbury Park. There we’ll be treated to a great barbecue lunch by Q-Time BBQ. The total cost is only $30 per person, including lunch, drinks, and SBR activity fee. These are always popular events. RSVP early by filling out the form below and submitting it with your check.

A
classic Santa Barbara Region event: the 75-mile drive on some legendary bends, loops, and curls, perfect for Porsches, followed by a flavorful lunch at BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse in Valencia. We’ll start in Moorpark and head to Fillmore over Grimes Canyon Road, the former path of the old stagecoach route in the Santa Susanna Mountains. From there it will be eastward on CA-126 to San Francisquito Canyon Road, part of the original route of “El Camino Viejo,” the historic road from Stockton to Los Angeles in the late 1800s. Next comes Spunky Canyon and Green Valley (cue the “Dueling Banjos”). The final leg to Valencia is Bouquet Canyon Road, a stretch steeped in California ranching history and named from the stories of “El Buque” (Spanish for “the ship”) by a French sailor turned settler and vaquero. Lunch in Valencia will feature garden salad, deep-dish pizza, and a nonalcoholic beverage of your choice. We’ll check in at 9:00 a.m. in Moorpark at the Target parking lot, 832 New Los Angeles Avenue, just west of CA-23. Departure time is 9:30 a.m. sharp. Event cost is $30 per person, which includes lunch and activity fee. RSVP now to Doreen Pankow, dpankow@sbcglobal.net or 805-422-8217, and then send your check with the form below.

PCA TREFFEN SANTA BARBARA AN EXTRAORDINARY SUCCESS I
Story by Nicolas Liakas
t came as a surprise in the fall of 2018, when we were recruited by PCA to host the 2019 Spring Treffen, which is defined is a meeting, encounter, or get-together of PCA members. It also came as a challenge: produce a memorable experience for attendees that will make both PCA and SBR proud.
Hey, with Santa Barbara as the destination, luxurious accommodations, driving tours, receptions, and special dining experiences provided, it came as no surprise that Treffen was sold out the day registration opened. On April 3 through 6, 2019, we welcomed 256 Porsche Club members in 134 Porsches, representing 44 regions from 12 of 14 PCA zones. They came from the west (Hawaii and Vancouver Island), they came from the east (Connecticut Valley, Upper Canada, Georgia), they came from the south (3 Texas regions and Arizona), and they came from the north (3 regions in Canada). What a fabulous turnout and a beautiful sight! It took an enormous amount of time and effort by Santa Barbara Region to host this Treffen. You will find articles and photographs from members of the SBR Treffen team in this issue. More than 75 volunteers from our region helped put together an outstanding experience for all the participants. National Treffen Chair, Harry Season, and the rest of the PCA Treffen staff, expressed their pleasure at the success of the Santa Barbara Treffen and thanked the region for hosting a Treffen that will be hard to beat. To all the volunteers – THANK YOU AND CONGRATULATIONS ON A JOB WELL DONE!

TOURING THE AMERICAN RIVIERA SANTA BARBARA REGION-STYLE The Santa Barbara Region of the Porsche Club of America hosted Treffen “Touring the American Riviera” from April 3 to 6, 2019, at the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort. This was a collaborative effort between PCA Treffen staff members and more than 75 volunteers from Santa Barbara Region. Eight SBR members served as key committee people and started to work on the project nine months ago. Doreen Pankow and Nicolas Liakas planned the tours. Mike Turek managed the tour departure area at The Music Academy of the West. Sue Kinsling managed registration and the assembly of the participant goody bags. Suzi Sheller oversaw the information desk. Tara Brundrett made sure the car wash station was operational. SBR Treffen coordinator Barbara Spencer worked closely with the PCA staff to manage the entire event. Rem Laan provided backup whenever and wherever needed. Each committee team leader recruited volunteers from the membership to help them and they assembled a wonderful crew who ensured that every aspect of the event went smoothly. The volunteers received blue event t-shirts to wear during Treffen, were welcomed at the opening reception where they could mingle with the participants, and were recognized and thanked by PCA officers at a special reception on Saturday afternoon. I was delighted to meet Cam Warren, the founding president of the Santa Barbara Region, at the welcome reception. Cam currently resides in Arizona. He was responsible for naming our publication, Der Auspuff. The driving tours are summarized in an excellent article by Doreen Pankow in this issue. The tours were one of the highlights of Treffen for both participants and volunteers. Friday was called Navigators Day Off (NDO). The participants could engage in activities that did not require a navigator. Their choices included visits to Lotusland, winetasting in Santa Ynez, cruising on the Double Dolphin sailboat, sailing with the Santa Barbara yacht club, riding on the Santa Barbara trolley tour, or taking the “Red Tile” walking tour of downtown Santa Barbara. I know our guests and members will have many lasting memories of this special Santa Barbara Treffen. I encourage you to consider attending an upcoming Treffen so you can personally experience the PCA motto– “It’s not just the cars, it’s the people” The next Treffen event will be in Woodstock, Vermont, September 4 - 7, 2019. You can check treffen.pca.org for more information.

Each committee found volunteers to help them and as a result we provided a perfect venue as well as wonderful people working on the event. We receive lots of kudos from PCA about how wonderful it was to work with our club members. A volunteer recognition party took place on Saturday afternoon and officers from PCA attended to thank all.

Editor’s note: The following article by Doreen Pankow summarizes the six tours experienced by PCA members during the April 3 – 6 Treffen Santa Barbara weekend. Participants arrived from numerous states to take part in these adventures, and were exceptionally thrilled to drive our back roads, visit our historic and cultural sites, and feel the lives of early settlers. WINE COUNTRY TOUR The Santa Ynez Valley has many different micro-climates within its boundaries, starting with a cool ocean influence in Lompoc and getting progressively hotter as you move inland. This enables different varieties of grapes to flourish. Close to 100 PCA members chose to take the wine country tour and enjoy the sights of all the vineyards throughout the Santa Ynez Valley. We drove through the Santa Rita Hills, Palmer Road, and Foxen Canyon, each a major and popular destination for wine tasting. The rolling hills, blue skies, and row after row of vines provided a feast for the eyes (and all our other senses). A delicious buffet lunch was waiting for everyone at the Trilogy Monarch Club in Nipomo. PCA members could be heard talking about the great drive on so many twisty back roads, and it was a great opportunity to meet and talk with members from other Regions. SOLVANG TOUR Nicknamed the Danish Capital of America, Solvang is the home to numerous bakeries, restaurants, and shops offering a taste of Denmark in California. Over 80 PCA members participated in this 2 ½ hour back roads drive through the Santa Ynez Valley via CA-154 and Foxen Canyon to the CA-135 through Los Alamos. Then we continued over the Harris Grade into Lompoc and drove past field after field of vineyards on Santa Rosa Rd. The final leg of our tour took us through Solvang to the Alisal River Grill, where we enjoyed a delicious barbecue lunch on their beautiful patio overlooking the golf course. After lunch, some participants chose to explore the town of Solvang to admire the old-world European architecture and purchase some souvenirs. Others stopped
GETTY VILLA TOUR Close to 100 PCA members went on our drive to the Getty Villa. We left the US-101 in Camarillo and our route took us along Potrero Road past Hidden Valley, where many celebrities live. We continued through the Santa Monica Mountains via Kanan Road, where participants could see some of the devastation from the Woolsey Fire, as well as the floral explosion that followed. Then we drove along the Pacific Coast Highway shoreline with its glorious Pacific Ocean views. The Getty Villa Museum is an educational center and museum dedicated to the study of the arts and cultures of ancient Greece, Rome, and Etruria. The collection has 44,000 Greek, Roman, and Etruscan antiquities dating from 6,500 BC to 400 A.D, including the Lansdowne Heracles and the Victorious Youth. Some participants chose to do self-guided tours through the museum and others went on the docentled Architectural and Garden tours. Around noon, we drove to Taverna Tony’s Greek restaurant in Malibu for a tantalizing Greek Feast, including a selection of 10 different house specialties. It was a great way to relax and enjoy the camaraderie of other PCA members from across the country. CALIFORNIA MISSION TOUR The Spanish missions in California comprise a series of 21 religious outposts or missions established between 1769 and 1833 in the State of California. They were founded by Catholic priests of the Franciscan order to evangelize the Native Americans. The surviving mission buildings are the state’s oldest structures and its most-visited historic monuments. They have become a symbol of California and are an inspiration for Mission Revival architecture. Eighty PCA members visited the Missions La Purisima and Santa Ines on our tour. We took CA-154 to Foxen Canyon and Alisos Canyon roads, enjoying the green hillsides and scenic vineyards along the way. We then drove over the twisty roads of Harris Grade to Lompoc and the La Purisima Mission. We spent about an hour touring the historical buildings and artifacts, and then drove through Solvang to tour the Santa Ines Mission. Our next stop was Pea Soup Anderson’s famous restaurant in Buellton, where everyone was ready for a delicious buffet lunch. On the return trip to Santa Barbara, several members also stopped at the Santa Barbara Mission to explore its unique architecture.
RONALD REAGAN PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY TOUR Over 90 PCA members participated in the drive on back roads past Lake Casitas and through the quaint towns of Ojai and Santa Paula. We continued our drive over the foothills into Moorpark and took CA-23 South to Presidential Drive leading to the Reagan Library. The Presidential Library 100-acre campus rests on a majestic hill overlooking the breath-taking topography of Southern California. Its picturesque views reaching out to the Pacific Ocean and lush gardens pay tribute to one of our nation’s beloved leaders. When the group arrived, we enjoyed a docent-led tour through the Library, which included replicas of the oval office in the White House, the “flying White House” Air Force One, which served seven Presidents, the Memorial site, and a host of other exhibits. The Pompeii Exhibit, which features over 150 authentic artifacts on loan from the Naples National Archeological Museum in Italy, was also on display. After the tour, we enjoyed a delightful buffet lunch in the Air Force One Pavilion. The return trip to Santa Barbara via US-101 North provided picturesque views of the Pacific Ocean and the Channel Islands. HEARST CASTLE TOUR Hearst Castle was designed by architect Julia Morgan for the newspaper magnate, William Randolph Hearst. The estate consisted of 165 rooms and 127 acres of gardens, terraces, pools, and walkways – an American castle that was destined to become one of the world’s greatest showplaces for Hearst’s art collection and antiques. Excited about seeing the castle, 90 PCA members drove north on US-101 to San Luis Obispo and then transitioned to the CA-1. We enjoyed magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean and coastline driving past Morro Bay and Cambria to San Simeon. When we arrived, we gathered in the Visitor Center to take a short bus ride up to Hearst Castle, where we toured the social rooms of Casa Grande and experienced what it was like to be a guest at this hilltop retreat. We also toured the Assembly Room, Refectory, Billiard Room, Theater, Gardens, Neptune Pool, and Roman Pool. We returned to the Visitor Center where we enjoyed a delicious Santa Maria Barbecue lunch out on the patio. As we departed for the return trip to Santa Barbara, some participants stopped at the Piedras Blancas Rookery to meet some of Central Coast’s most famous residents, the 17,000 elephant seals that migrate there every year.

Post Event Report By: William Griswold
Thank you for the time and organization effort everyone put into the Treffen. The tour participants mentioned time and again that this SBR Region Treffen was one of the best that they have attended. So, congratulations. Our Getty tour on Saturday was a great success. Weather could not have been better. The sights included clear views of the ocean, Channel Islands, Hidden Valley and the revitalized growth in the burn areas. The team received many complements for the drive, tour and especially the fantastic lunch spread at Taverna Tony’s. The wait staff was great and continued to bring food until everyone was finished. This was the first time they had the opportunity to taste Greek food. A lot of left-overs from the restaurant left with me! I took the suggestion to offer a canyon drive after lunch and had 10 attendees that wanted to continue the drive. We went up and down the canyons in a spirited drive that put a smile on everyone’s face. In fact, they continued the drive independently after I led them back to Mulholland Hwy and set them off on their own because they could not get enough. All-in-all, it turned out to be a lot of fun. The National Treffen organizers for the PCA were very enthusiastic at the start and PCA’s National Vice President even went on the tour riding in a Nissan SUV. The group drove 911, 996, 997 and 991 Carreras, Turbo’s, coupes and cabriolets, Boxters, Caymans, Macon Turbo and Macon S and Cayenne. The countries and states represented were the Canada, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, Illinois, New Mexico and Texas – and Alaska! In summary great drive, great people, great weather, great day.

Volkswagen’s Former CEO Charged with Fraud
www.Zone8.org
PORSCHE
CLUB OF AMERICA
(Ed: As reported by the Associated Press in MSN/Money website April 15) FRANKFURT, Germany — German prosecutors have charged former Volkswagen CEO Martin Winterkorn and four others with fraud and other offenses in connection with the company’s massive, multi-year effort to cheat on diesel emissions testing. Prosecutors said Monday that Winterkorn knew about the deceptive practice since at least May 2014, and failed to put a stop to it. That contradicts Winterkorn’s claim that he didn’t learn of the problem until shortly before U.S. investigators announced it in September 2015. Winterkorn resigned as CEO days later. The prosecutors said in a statement that the defendants — all of them top Volkswagen managers — were part of an ongoing deception that started in 2006. The company has admitted installing software that could tell when the cars were on test stands for emissions certification. When the cars went on to everyday driving, the emission controls were turned off, improving performance but emitting far more than the U.S. legal limit of nitrogen oxides, a class of pollutant that is harmful to health. In all, some 11 million cars worldwide were equipped with the illegal software, in a case that damaged the reputation of diesel technology and accelerated the shift to electric cars in Europe.

SBR Board of Directors Meeting MARCH 13, 2019
GOLD COAST VETERANS FOUNDATION, CAMARILLO Present were board members Rem Laan, Suzi Sheller, Howard Rubenstein, Chet and Joan Yabitsu, Nick Liakas, Glenn Crawford, Randall Fishwick, Doreen Pankow, Tara Brundrett, Randy Kinsling, Sue Kinsling, Bob Clarke, David Stone, and members Jim Brown and Bob Roe. The meeting was called to order at 6:30 PM. The following reports were presented and discussions held: OFFICER REPORTS: President: • Rem Laan reported that we will receive $5,000 from PCA for sponsoring the Treffen. He suggested that the club spend a portion of that amount to have Barbara and Jim Spencer represent SBR at the final Treffen banquet. The funds from PCA will also be used to cover the shortfall between the cost of the Treffen Experience raffled off at the Holiday Brunch and the income from the raffle. The remaining balance of the $5,000 will be deposited into the SBR general fund account. Rem’s suggestion was unanimously approved. • Rem is planning a dirt road event for Macans and Cayennes only on September 28, with Santa Barbara Auto Group providing coffee and bagels at the start. Vice President: • No report. • Barbara Spencer had submitted to the board cash confirmation reports for January and February in advance of this meeting. Secretary: • The minutes of the January 9 meeting were approved as submitted. • Suzi Sheller will send draft minutes of each meeting to all board members for review. The board will have five (5) days within which to make comments, revisions, or additions before the minutes are finalized. Suzi will send a copy of the approved minutes to Randall for posting on the website. Treasurer: • Howard Rubenstein reported that the club is in a strong financial position. The three club events to date showed a profit. Our cash is slightly higher than last report; we are doing well. • Howard provided the board with seven (7) reports, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements. Past President: No report. COMMITTEE REPORTS: Activities: • Doreen Pankow reported that activities have been finalized through September 28. Event planning and flyers are finalized for all club driving events through August. She said Treffen is fully subscribed with 238 participants and 130 cars. Treffen driving event instructions have been distributed to all the SBR drivers/ navigators and they have been asked to do test drives of their routes before the event. • Howard reported that due to low participation and cancellation of some reservations, the Bakersfield event was no longer financially feasible. He recommended cancelling the event to prevent further expense. The board agreed and he was authorized to cancel the trip. Advertising: • Bob Clarke reported all advertiser billing was complete and payments are coming in. Two advertisers withdrew. • He will contact potential advertisers to fill those spaces. Archives: No report. Autocross: • Glenn Crawford reported that the two-day event went very

well with the novice group getting 50 laps on Saturday and the experienced autocrossers getting about 30 laps on Sunday between intermittent rain and sun. Jim Hall’s facility will no longer be available, so all members are encouraged to help find another location and get in touch with Glenn. Concours: Tara Brundrett reported that we need to look for another venue for the 2020 concours and she would like to bring it back to Santa Barbara. Some places being investigated are Montecito Country Club, Chase Park, Alice Keck Park Park, Channel Islands, and more input is encouraged. Dealer Relations: No report. Distribution: Chet Yabitsu reported that he will need $2,000 for Auspuff distribution through the end of the year. He would prefer $500 per issue in advance of each publication, so he can get the money to the post office. The board agreed and Howard was authorized to write Chet a check for $500 in advance of each printing. Editor: The Board congratulated Nick Liakas on the excellent March/April edition of Der Auspuff. Nick accepted the accolades but reminded the board that he had agreed to be editor for this year only and that the club still needs to find an editor for 2020. The May/June edition will probably be 40 pages due to all the activities in the next few months. Goodie Store: No report. Insurance: Randy Kinsling submitted a report stating that all Certificates of Insurance had been received for the events through April 2. He has not received some of the signed waiver forms and post event reports for a couple of the tours. Membership: No report. Public Relations: No report. Safety: No report R.U.F. (Retired and Unemployed Folks): No report. Webmaster: Randy Fishwick submitted a comprehensive report. Highlights included: o He is preparing the club’s website for the PCA Website Contest, which must be submitted by 3/31/19. o He has added a Photo of the Week section and encourages members to send in their best photos. o He is creating a Goodie Store page with the support of John Barrison. o He has been maintaining the club Facebook page with some assistance from Steve Geldman. Randy thinks Facebook is a platform that could benefit from the support of multiple members and is open to assistance from other SBR members. Old Business: None. New Business: Jim Brown recommends several changes to the SBR by-laws regarding voting rights in order to better reflect the club’s current needs. He will submit his suggestions to the board before its next meeting so it can be considered. The board was asked to review the by-laws before the next meeting to see if there are any other changes that might be needed at this time.
There being no further business, upon motion made, seconded, and unanimously approved, the meeting adjourned at 7:30 PM.
