PCCMians Hail Newly Elected PaGES and SHaRP Officers By Jhoanna Legaspi

With the implementation of the automated elections that gave a 99.9% collected votes from the Teacher Education and Hospitality Management Programs, last August 16 and 19 respectively, the results of the college-wide elections were announced. Paul Gabriel Licup, a Social Studies Major from section 2B was the newly elected PaGES president, together with his colleagues from the same course and major, Richard Paulo Abendan was proclaimed as the Vice President of the aforementioned organization. To complete the list of the newly elected officers, Rachelle Cama won as the Secretary, Loevely Joy Dumalay from SS-2A as the Treasurer, Rodrigo Jaba from SS – 2B as the Auditor, and Vincent Conquilla placed as the Public Relations officer.

Agustin PCCM’s newly elected Board of Trustees and Faculty members raised their hands as they took their oaths for the Academic Year 20192020 at the Municipal Hall in Camalig, Meycauayan City Bulacan, with the supervision of our Newly Elected Mayor Hon. Linabelle Ruth Villarica last August 22, 2019. The said event gathered the aspiring leaders of the City College, together with the Officer-in-Charge Re-elected Councilor Catherine C. Abacan, the staffs, heads, organizational leaders, and the teachers enabling them to face another responsibility to handle and nurture the future of Meycauayan City by responding to the calling of profession, keeping promises, and doing their assigned tasks.

ANGELES CITY, PAMPANGA - MelgaSonio, a BSE Major in Mathematics student ranked 5th among the 31 participants in the recently concluded 25th Philippine Statistics Quiz --- Regional Championship at the Holy Angel University last November 12, 2019. Sonio, a freshman student, is a first-time participant in the said competition. PCCM APPOINTS NEW BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2019-2020

Newly appointed and elected officers from the different organizations established in the Polytechnic College of the City of Meycauayan formally took their oath before Councilor Catherine C. Abacan and the Accredited Student Organizations or ACSO last September 25, Friday at the Administrative Office of the College. The oath-taking ceremony was administered by Dr. Ma. Paz G. Contreras, the Directress of the Office of the Student Affairs and Mr. Jobert Suarez, Coordinator of ACSO.

The PSQ or Philippine Statistics Quiz, which is in its 25th year, is a competition held annually and catered freshmen students enrolled in the different colleges and universities nationwide. Its aims are to assess the competency skills of students in statistics, promote awareness in the value of science, and generate public awareness on the importance of statistics (General Information, Information Bulletin No. 1 Series of 2019)

PCCM Conducts Welcome Rites By Melody Cea

The Polytechnic College of the City of Meycauayan conducted welcome rites for the freshmen last October 28, 2019. The event was held at the Meycauayan Convention Center at exactly 2 o’clock in the afternoon. It began with the marching of the TEP and HMP students with their casual attires together with their partners and followed by a prayer led by Ms. Crismelaine Herrera from English 2-A. the attendees were Councilor Catherine C. Abacan, committee on education/ officer-in-charge; Dr. Reneliza C. Sta. Ana, the College Dean; Dr. Ma. Paz G. Contreras, OSA Directress; Prof. Rona R. Dela Rosa, TEP Head; Prof. Maricris Ampuan, HMP Head; together with the teaching and non-teaching personnel. The speaker was Mr. Franz Paolo Camargo, the president of alumni from the school. “Success is not equivalent to the number of awards you received, now to the money in your bank account. Success is when you fulfill your duty”. “A good objective of oneself is to help those who are doing poorly top do and to help those who are doing well do even better,” a statement from Mr. Kaiko Eugenio, Assistant Restaurant Manager 3.
