STEPHEN CHAROLAIS & BAR H CHAROLAIS BULL SALE

Whitewood Livestock Sales, Whitewood, SK
WELCOME TO THE STEPHEN CHAROLAIS
“TIME TO MUSCLE UP” BULL SALE.
We’d like to thank our previous buyers and welcome new buyers that are taking an interest in the Full French breed. Special thanks to our guest consigner, Bar H Charolais; they’ve been with us since the start. Our family is looking forward to the new offerings you will bring to the table come sale day!
On our farm, located near Moosomin Lake, we calve out 350 Simmental/Red Angus and straight Red Angus cows. Maximizing on those top-notch tan calves, we are continuing to calve the Full French cows through January, February and March, and the commercial cows have been backed off, starting the first week of February. Please note that last year we removed ourselves from the annual sale because we felt the animals were just too young. This year some of the animals will be coming two years old around sale date. Regardless, you will easily see the potential in these young bulls.
In addition to cattle farming, we also grain farm. Our three sons enjoy helping out with seeding, haying and harvest. Trae is 17 and will be graduating high school in May. Kohl is 16 and in grade 11, while Vahn is 13 and completing his grade 8. They enjoy a wide range of activities such as hockey, dirt-biking, snowmobiling and watersports. They keep us busy for sure but the older two have a license now and that makes farm operations and leisure activities run a lot smoother! My wife continues to love teaching and has recently taken on a job at our local high school. Education is her passion, much like farming is mine. Our nephew, Colton Stephen, is also employed by the family farm and has become an asset to the operation. When everyone pitches in, we can honor the hard work and dedication founded by my parents, Murray and Lousie Stephen. These young lads sure love working with grandpa! And I think he gets a kick out of it too!
During our regular breeding season, I can test out different bulls and bloodlines I have acquired over the years. I’ve been in the Full French Charolais business since 2007; one thing I know for sure is that this heavy-muscled breed adds value to any herd, whether commercial or pure bred. Simply put, Full French breeding adds big, tan, soggy, haired-up calves that buyers fight over! I am so impressed with the overall herd weights.
We take pride in our animals. They will be clean and tidy on sale day. If you purchase a bull and are not completely satisfied, please speak with me directly so I can make it right. We expect respectful and friendly business relationships with all our buyers. We look forward to meeting new customers and continuing our work with repeat customers. Thank you and see you on sale day!
Sincerely,
STEPHEN CHAROLAIS FARM
(Kelly & Pam Stephen and sons: Trae, Kohl and Vahn)
WELCOME TO THE ANNUAL STEPHEN CHAROLAIS & BAR H CHAROLAIS BULL SALE.
After the sale was online last year it is back live at the Whitewood Auction Mart. It will be a video sale so come early to view the bulls and have lunch and some hospitality before and after the sale. Stephen Charolais has again put forth a great set of Full French and French influence bulls that will add thickness and can go into any purebred herd in North America and add quality. If you are looking for the extra thickness and meat, it is here.
The Bar H bulls are smooth made and structurally sound with some of the great current pedigrees offered in the industry. Many of the bulls from these operations are AI sired with genetics from excellent calving ease bulls to high performers that will be appealing to all levels of producers, seedstock or commercial. These producers don’t push their bulls and they are coming to you ready to go to work when you need them and then have longevity in your herd. We invite you to stop by these operations ahead of the sale or come to Whitewood to enjoy selecting from the solid offering. If you can’t make it sale day, the sale will be broadcast live on DLMS.ca or you can be on the phone with any of the sale staff or consignors. We are here to make your buying experience as easy and pleasurable as possible.
Take advantage of the Charolais performance and sale ring premiums by putting high quality Charolais bulls in your breeding program. If we can be of any assistance before or on sale day in helping you make your selections, please give us a call.
Sincerely,
Helge & Candace By

This Excalibur grandson is unique. This is a bloodline you don’t come across too often! Landyn’s grandfather was Excalibur Econome; he was known for the extra muscle he threw into his calves and with today’s markets, Landyn will do nothing but put pounds on your calves. Legend is quite the calf; he’s thick and big topped with loads of hair and performance! Legend is fortunate enough to have some unique older bloodlines in his genetic structure. Cyrano is the grandfather of Legend. Cyrano was also the grandfather of the great MVX Cougarhill Hank 720G bull who made a huge impact in the purebred industry with his outstanding daughters and sires with longevity! Don’t miss out on an opportunity like this! Legend is also one of those bulls who won’t be two until midMarch. With the size of him already, you know nothing but good can come out of him!

Luiger is the youngest long yearling up for offer; he has the youngest birthdate: June 28! When you see the size of this thick hairy fella all you will see is longevity in his appearance. Luiger has a nifty performance and maternal background in his pedigree. His dam is an Icare daughter, a bull out of France who still carries the heaviest global weaning numbers in France (and he’s been gone a long time)! Global weaning numbers are used in France in animal test stations. They test the performance of animals on feed. Luiger will do nothing but make you money, hands down!

He is one of my all-time favs and his weaning weights are second to none.
WELCOME EVERYONE.
It is great to be partnered with Stephen Charolais again this year. What a great time to be in the cattle industry.
