Welcome to the January Edition

It’s January again, that time of year when lots of us start to look at getting started with our commitment to get fit. I joined a local gym in February last year and am still forcing myself to go along there once a week. Far more enjoyable are my daily dog walks, which provide gentle exercise without feeling like a chore. I think fun is key to what ever activity you take part in, please see the Badminton Club feature on page 53 of this edition for what looks like a rather splendid way to keep fit and enjoy it! Or if you feel its time you learned to swim or improve your current technique there is Ocean Spirit Swim & Yoga school featured on page 63.

As it’s the start of the year I’d like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who has contributed to the magazine over the past year, especially our regulars who are able to come up with something new for us month after month. We don’t charge anything for local groups to place editorial content or to be listed in our What’s On section so if you have a group, club or local issue you want to publicize please get in touch and we will get you into the magazine as soon as possible.

Saltdean Crafters Saltdean Crafters is an organisation set up by two local artists from Saltdean, which runs art and craft workshops… Open to anybody interested in getting creative, the workshops give participants a chance to learn about and make various eclectic and fun arts, from printing, textiles, and plaster of Paris. Candace Hilton is a fine artist who specialises in moving image, sound and other media to create immersive audio-visual installations and performances. She has tutored in a wide range of arts and craft in London for many years. Lara Small is a textile artist specialising in making rugs and garments. She re-uses and remakes from textiles around her with a focus on colour and texture. It was only a chance meeting on the bus last year that sparked the artistic collaboration. "Wherever I went, people asked where I had bought my daughter’s hat," says Lara, and soon commissions started coming in. As a result, the pair began production of Brighton Bonnets a range of children’s hats contrasting bold colours with traditional, original design. It was from this that the idea of Saltdean Crafters grew. “I ran workshops when I lived in London and loved sharing my passion for resourceful arts,” says Candace. She was convinced that there were other creative people in the Saltdean area and now their aim is to develop and nurture arts within the local community and meet other people with creative interests. “Our workshops are designed to encourage skills and confidence in areas of art and craft that anyone can take away and build on.” No experience is necessary; it’s an exercise in resourcefulness and using our wonderful local environment. The workshops showcase a different art or craft each month, providing all the materials and guidance needed to produce a piece of work, plus refreshments for only £7.00. Booking is encouraged.
Coming up in January: Embellishing Fabrics, February: Birds and Beasts Sculpture, March: Exploring MonoPrinting, April: Spring In Plaster of Paris, May: Up-cycle Artist Books First Wednesday of each month 7.30-9.30 pm at the Lido, Saltdean Community Centre. Osteopathy tips
Bridgeford’s Best Bites:
Frozen Shoulder Also known as adhesive capsulitis, contracted shoulder or pitcher’s arm, is an extremely painful condition where the shoulder is partially or completely stiff and unmovable, affecting your ability to carry out everyday activities such as bathing, dressing, driving and sleeping comfortably. It usually comes on gradually, gets worse over a number of months and may improve with time, though can take several years. It is most common between ages 40-60, particularly in women. Anatomy: The shoulder is a ball and socket joint; the end of the upper arm bone (humerus) sits in the socket of the shoulder blade (scapula). The lining of the shoulder joint, the capsule, is a flexible elastic structure allowing the shoulder’s huge range of motion. It is fully stretched when you raise your arm above your head and hangs down as a small pouch when the arm is lowered. In frozen shoulder this capsule and its ligaments becomes inflamed, swollen, thickened and contracted; normal elasticity is lost and there is less space for your upper arm bone in the joint. Pain and stiffness set in. The rotator cuff is a group of four muscles that control shoulder movements: supraspinatus, infraspinatus, teres minor, subscapularis. Symptoms: Can vary from mild with little effect on daily activities to severe and possibly unable to move the shoulder at all. Stage 1: Freezing, shoulder starts to ache and can be painful on reaching out; often worse at night laying on affected shoulder. Can last 2-9 months. Stage 2: Frozen, increasing stiffness, pain decreases, range of motion more limited. Shoulder muscles may waste from lack of use. Can last 4-12 months.
injections, surgery: arthroscopic Capsular Release or Manipulation Under Anaesthetic. Osteopathic/Manual Management: Massage, manipulation, myofascial techniques on joint and soft tissues, stretching and strengthening, trigger point therapy, dry needling, strapping, home rehabilitation exercises, attention to postural and sleeping habits. We are happy to advise you on your health matters and offer a free 15 minute joint and spinal check, without obligation. Stage 3: Thawing, gradually regaining movement, though not fully, pain reduces and able to do more tasks. Can last 12-42 months. Causes: Each person’s symptoms and causes may be slightly different, making it difficult to say what has caused the problem. Exact cause is unknown; may be caused by inflammation of shoulder joint and surrounding capsule, may lead to thick scar-like tissue forming in the capsule making it tight and restricting movement of the joint. It can develop alongside calcific tendonitis: where small amounts of calcium are deposited in the tendons of the shoulder or rotator cuff tear. Risk factors include breast cancer, diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol, stroke, thyroid disease, recent shoulder injury, fracture or surgery, lack of use, Dupuytrens contracture. Diagnosis: A medical practitioner will ask about symptoms and injuries that may have affected the shoulder, its effect on daily life and sleep, severity of pain and what affects pain; also related pains, other health conditions and medication you are taking. Examination of range of motion, moving shoulder in all directions compared with unaffected shoulder; pressure to parts of shoulder to determine where pain is most severe and what is causing it; look for swelling, bruising or muscle wasting. X-ray, ultrasound scan and MRI may be used to rule out other causes of pain such as rotator cuff tear or arthritis.

Treatment: Physical therapy, pain killers, anti-inflammatories, corticosteroid injections, Arthroscopic Hydrodilatation under local anaesthetic: filling shoulder joint with fluid to break up scar tissue and free up the joint is more effective than simple

Local History - Part 44
Mike Laslett
Sir George Gilbert Scott
The architects of many London landmarks also built many fine buildings in Brighton and Hove. They included Robert Adam, John Nash, Thomas Cubitt, Decimus Burton, Charles Barry and George Gilbert Scott, whose work at Brighton College is particularly fine.
Gilbert Scott’s gothic building dates to 1848. He later added the Headmaster’s house (1854) and a chapel with good stained glass (1859.) So how does this relate to our area? As you may have read in a previous article, the villagers of Rottingdean sought refuge in the church tower to escape French pirates in 1377. Sad to relate they were burnt alive and much of the church destroyed. They had few resources for reconstruction and their modest efforts remained much decayed until 1856 when Gilbert Scott carried out a major restoration of the church. A lot of old timbers were disposed of rather than being restored but overall the restoration provided a sound building.
Should you visit this grave, take the opportunity to enter the eastern gate of the churchyard. Amongst the graves to your left you will see a simple stone erected in memory of Sir George Everest, surveyor of the world’s tallest mountain.
Gilbert Scott is most famous for The Midland Hotel at St. Pancras Station and the Albert Memorial in Hyde Park. But in Brighton's East Street he built Brill’s Baths; a circular, domed, indoor pool which held 80,000 gallons of sea water piped from Hove, whose water was considered less polluted! The building was demolished in the 1920s for the ABC Cinema and the only reminder is a small passage at the rear called Brill’s Lane. His grandson, Sir Giles Gilbert Scott was an architect too and is known for designing Battersea Power Station and Bankside Power Station (now the Tate Modern), not to mention the iconic red telephone box (pictured here with his heavier K2 version which it superseded.)
More of his design work may be seen locally. Amongst the graves on the western side of St. Andrew’s Church, Hove, is a beautiful pink granite memorial designed by Gilbert Scott for his sister, Mary. Although from Buckinghamshire, she came to Brighton in her dying days to be cared for by her brother Samuel Scott, a Brighton doctor. His wife Georgina was the sister of G F Bodley, the prominent church architect. They probably met while Bodley was serving his five year apprenticeship with Gilbert Scott. Local travel agent says 24 / 7 support has never been more relevant Saltdean based travel agent Kate Balls is highlighting the importance of giving customers around the clock support and up to date travel advice, as she announces further enhancements to the support she can provide. Kate runs her own travel business as part of global, independent company Travel Counsellors, which now operates its own Global Duty Office and provides support to agents and their customers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The service, run centrally by a team from the company’s UK headquarters, utilises the company’s global presence in six other countries and time zones to ensure that the international community of over 1,400 Travel Counsellors, including Kate, are supported around the clock, whenever they need it. This includes assisting and supporting Travel Counsellors if any situations occur that may affect their customers, which in turn enables them to keep in constant communication with customers to provide all the latest information. This means Kate is even able to monitor the location of her customers from resort all the way to their safe return back home. Kate said: “Having a 24/7 Duty Office means that even though it might be the middle of the night here, one of my colleagues is sitting at a desk analysing information that is coming in from around the world, enabling us to be proactive rather than reactive if a situation arises. A recent example is a client that was due to fly to Sharm El Sheikh last month. We emailed her at 1am to tell her she wouldn’t be going, due to foreign office advice, and that we would be on to it in the morning. We had flights, hotel, transfers and airport hotels all booked and sorted. By 11am she was rebooked to Fuerteventura, refunded the difference in price and accommodation cancellation charges all covered by us. This makes me feel very proud of the outcome achieved, and she didn’t even have to call us first, or feel any stress what so ever. I am proud to be able to provide that reassurance and total support, backed by a 24/7 global Duty Office that works around the clock to make sure my customers have a fantastic trip and can get in touch if ever they need me. The Duty Office has never been more relevant and makes a huge difference to me and my customers”.
Says Kate ‘’I love being a part of Travel Counsellors and being able provide a travel service to my local area. The technology I have at my fingertips is incredible and means I can search through hundreds of options for my customers at highly competitive prices. Whether it’s a cosy cottage in the Cotswolds, a far flung tropical destination, a business trip to the States or a cruise around the Med – I can say with confidence I will create that perfect trip for you. Many people don’t have time to talk or even think about their holiday during the working week, so being able to discuss their plans at a time that suits them is really popular. My customers really appreciate the personal service and attention to detail that I can offer as a Travel Counsellor. Service that simply cannot be matched on a faceless website or a call centre miles away” For more information or to discuss your future travel plans contact Kate on 01273 256750 or email her at kate.balls@travelcounsellors.com Or visit her webpage and send an enquiry at www.travelcounsellors.co.uk/kate.balls
Priding herself on the highest level of personal service, Kate runs her own leisure and corporate travel business from home, using Travel Counsellors’ award winning technology to operate her own independent business. To advertise call 01273 586527 or email info@deansmagazine.co.uk

Neighbourhood Watch
Safety & security in 2016 Saltdean, Rottingdean & Ovingdean NHW Committee wish all readers a Happy, Healthy and Secure 2016. Residents from two hundred and thirty four properties became NHW members in 2015 receiving welcome packs containing safety & security advice and those on email receiving regular updates from ourselves and the Police. All this for just a one off donation of £1 per household!! We feel it is the best £1 a resident can spend and unlike some other organisations we do not intend to ask for an increased donation in 2016!! If you are not already a NHW member please take advantage of this offer. We look forward to hearing from you. More information can be found on our new website www.saltdeanrottingdeanovingdeannhw.co.uk or contact Secretary Linda Hood 01273 306441; nhw.sro-sec@hotmail.co.uk Unwanted calls, Nuisance calls & Messages Most of us will have received an unwanted nuisance call or message at some time or other. They come in a variety of different shapes and sizes and can be inconvenient and annoying at the best of times, but for vulnerable people they can also cause considerable distress and anxiety. If you're fed up receiving these calls and messages what can you do about it? Quite a lot, but unfortunately in this technical age solutions are not always straight forward, not always 100% successful and there can be a financial cost to their use. A helpful consumer guide leaflet is available from Ofcom (the Independent Regulator and Competition Authority) and can be obtained on-line at www.consumers.ofcom.org.uk/phone/tackling-nuisance-calls. The
guide includes advice on what action you can take to protect yourself and to whom you can complain. Most major telephone networks can provide a service called " Anonymous Caller Rejection". The actual service provided and what they do, can vary slightly from company to company but basically it stops calls getting through where the caller withholds their number. There can be disadvantages though, such as calls from public organisations (e.g. police) being blocked because they do not normally give their number. There are some limitations, for example calls may get through from networks which do not support caller display and call return services. We have also heard recently, anecdotally, that cold calling companies have found a way of getting around Anonymous Caller Rejection, but this cannot be verified. Networks can make a charge for using "Anonymous Caller Rejection". BT charge £5.40 per month. Anonymous Caller Rejection can be a useful service but it is not necessarily perfect. If considering using it then we would suggest that you make sure you understand exactly what it can do and any limitations by contacting your phone network. Most companies have good explanations of the service on their website. Another option of course, is to have Caller Identification on your phone. You can then see the number of the person/company calling. If the caller has withheld their telephone number or it is shown as "Out of Area" you can just not answer it.

Local Club news
Saltdean & rottingdean Badminton Club The Saltdean & Rottingdean Badminton Club is a brand new local group, looking for new members. Skye started the group after reigniting a childhood love (previously called the Deans’ Leisure Centre), of badminton with a group in Hove. “I played Falmer Road, Brighton BN2 7FR. badminton from the ages of seven to ten and loved it, If you would like to try the group or want to know but hadn’t picked up a racquet since then. I tried a more, please contact Skye on 07900 705 248 or at group at the King Alfred, but it was too far away from skye.samuelson@brighton-hove.gcsx.gov.uk where I live in Saltdean, taking me almost two hours to get home by bus. So I decided to start my own group in a location better suited to Deans’ residents such as myself.” The club quickly expanded to a core group of regulars as well as a number of others who enjoy the freedom of coming as and when fits in with their lives. From just £2.50 per week, the group is much lower in cost and offers greater freedom than other badminton clubs. Shuttlecocks are provided free of charge and racquet hire is also available at a very pocket-friendly 50p per week. Skye is clearly passionate about badminton as well as being firmly committed to the group’s long term success. “We aren’t a scary, highly competitive group. We are about having fun, getting fit and enjoying the game. We pride ourselves on being a friendly and welcoming group, so if you don’t have much experience playing, haven’t played in twenty or thirty years or just don’t think you’re very good, don’t worry about it! Playing badminton once a week is a great way to stay fit, socialise or just keep your New Years’ resolution. Absolutely everyone is welcome, regardless of abilities, age, gender, etc. Don’t be afraid to give us a go - we might surprise you!” Saltdean & Rottingdean Badminton Club play 6-7pm on Wednesdays, in the grounds of Longhill High School

Myofascial Release Penny Koster, Holistic Pain Therapist Myofascial Release - the gentle release of connective tissue, I have a beautiful log cabin in my garden where I work from, it is an incredibly relaxing and gentle space. I have been a therapist for many years, I have a lot of different qualifications and training, but the therapy I am most passionate about and know first‐hand works completely is myofascial release, Myo-fascial is the connective tissue which joins everything together, covers everything, fills all the gaps holds you together, it has the memory of your life, it relays messages to your brain faster than the nervous System, every single thing that happens to you in your life whether it be good or bad is stored in your subconscious and your fascial system, The fascia is like a giant web made up of collagen, elastin and ground substance it covers you from top to toe with no orifices unlike your skin, it moves constantly within your body, it penetrates, covers, protects every organ, muscle, ligament, tendon, bones everything- we are fascia, scar tissue is damaged fascia that has gone hard and dehydrated, that is why generally women get more lower back problems then men because they have hysterectomies, C-sections and end up with fascia that is damaged, dehydrated and hard (scar tissue) so no longer moves and consequently pulls on areas like the lower back, fascia can become hardened dehydrated and stop moving and therefore cause problems, discomfort, pain, disease for many many different reasons I generally call it life. Another example because we are one complete unit everything is connected you could have a pain in your shoulder and the pain could possibly originate in your lower back, or maybe your neck or both. Myofascial release is being called the missing link and I passionately believe this to be true, I believe in the not too distant future everyone will be having these treatments, The cause of discomfort, pain is the collagen layer of the fascia, this is the layer that has to be released from its stuck, dehydrated, no longer moving position! An Analogy if you step on a hosepipe the flow is impaired. I am highly trained in myofascial release, I am trained to Body read to know where the problem is and then to un-stick it.. The whole world needs to know about this treatment! I feel very passionately that everyone should understand how it works, and as much as possible be
able to do it to themselves and each other. There is no such thing as 'I have that pain because I'm getting old' No-one needs to have pain! Exceptions being if you break a leg or have an accident et cetera, I give these treatments which are extremely powerful but at the Same time very gentle, I also educate people so that they can self-care in the future and when they have a pain they understand why it's happening, and what they can do about it, ABSOLUTELY NO ONE HAS TO BE IN PAIN. Everyone is different sometimes it takes longer than others, IT IS WORTH THE WAIT! If you're interested in having a treatment and want to learn more about myofascial release and myself please go to: www.trigger-points.me.uk or phone me on 07951 117826

Rottingdean & Saltdean Lions
Lions News This month we have a reminder for the training in January for the lifesaving defibrillator equipment that has been recently installed in Rottingdean and a review of our fundraising and service activities held in 2015. Training for Rottingdean’s Defibrillator Please remember that there is one more training session for those who would wish to learn more about the procedure. This is to be held in the Main Hall of the Whiteway Centre, Whiteway Lane at 7.00pm on Tuesday 12th January. All interested parties are most welcome - please just turn up on the day and join the training. Once again, on behalf of the Rottingdean and Saltdean Lions, I would like to thank all involved in providing this life saving facility. Rottingdean and Saltdean Lions Fundraising and Service in 2015 The fundraising year for 2015, started off with a Race Night at Rottingdean Public Hall. There were eight races with betting on a tote basis making for an exciting evening. In the early summer, the Lions Rottingdean Fayre enjoyed brilliant sunshine and blue skies. The Brighton and Hove Mayor was in attendance and she stated how much she enjoyed the event. Later on in the year she offered her support in the launch of the defibrillator. In July the Saltdean Gala was opened during hot sunny weather by local actor Paul Moriarty star of EastEnders, Doc Martin and the stage, leading to an immensely successful day enjoyed by all. However, as the summer progressed, the Donkey Derbies in Peacehaven and Seaford were both washouts due to the relentless rain. During the autumn, our sponsored swim and Christmas auction rounded the fundraising year off on a high, with the auction raising in excess of £1,500.
successful events these are labour intensive and voluntary help at these events is always welcome. If you know a Lion please have a chat with them if you would like to help out at an event. Or you can use the contact details listed below. Let’s make 2016 our best fundraising year yet. As this is the January edition of the Deans Magazine, Rottingdean and Saltdean Lions Club would like to wish all the readers of this magazine a prosperous New Year with, above all, good health. Also, the Lions would like to thank all the Deans Magazine readers that supported them during 2015. Last year with our service, we once again entertained senior citizens at our Christmas lunches; also in spring and autumn we took senior citizens on two coach trips finishing with a cream tea.. Other major service activities during last year included the Message in a Bottle scheme for vulnerable people. We also support drop off points for used spectacles which were sent for refurbishment for use in the developing world. Also, we participated in ‘It’s a Knockout’, providing lots of fun for people with learning difficulties. To sustain our service activities, Rottingdean and Saltdean Lions will once again have another busy year in 2016 raising funds and consequently supporting charities and projects in the local community – let’s hope this will continue for a long time to come. The Rottingdean Fayre and Saltdean Gala as mentioned above are good examples. Whilst being immensely To advertise call 01273 586527 or email info@deansmagazine.co.uk

The Ocean is coming to the Deans! Well in spirit at least. Sussex based swimming and yoga teacher Trina Requena is bringing her unique, holistic school of swimming and yoga to the Deans community and is running her swimming lessons in Ovingdean Hall College and Peacehaven Heights School. Trina and the team will be running swimming lessons for adults and children of all abilities and also offer lessons for children with special needs. Whilst travelling extensively in Asia, she began her study of yoga and whilst practicing on beaches in front of lapping waves, an idea began to form. As a keen swimmer, her morning yoga practice was always followed by sea swimming and slowly Trina began to develop her unified ideas. She has created a new rethinking and blending of the two disciplines which have evolved from the study of nature, both replicating natural movement. “My vision when starting OceanSpirit Swim School was to connect people to the water, regardless of age or ability. Everyone should have the opportunity to make the most of their local pool or the open sea.” The ethos At Ocean Spirit is to look at the individual on a more holistic basis and teach accordingly. Having practiced and taught yoga around the world for the last 15
years, Trina unique approach has been inspired by finding a connection between yoga and swimming and has found that these two essential disciplines can work in harmony together. She says: “We all have a different way of learning, different bodies and minds. Our Ocean Spirit team works in small groups, enabling us to to achieve real results. All of our teachers have the same ethos. We encourage our students to learn in a different way. To feel what we are teaching, to feel every part of the stroke. Swimming then becomes a joy that has a connection back to nature.” It seems that Ocean Spirit is just not about teaching swimming but also about re-establishing our lost connection with nature. Trina’s vision is to bring herself and those who she teaches into a kinship with nature and the ocean! You can find out more by contacting Trina on 07576 350231 or at info@oceanspiritswimschool.co.uk

Mad Wax Candles
65
Soy vs Paraffin Wax Candles Most people have heard of paraffin wax, it is still the most popular type of wax to make candles with‌ In fact if you buy a candle that isn't marked soy or any other special blend of wax, you have probably purchased a candle that is made from a paraffin wax. One of the more natural alternatives to paraffin wax is soy this is made from the oil of soybeans so is a natural wax and a renewable source unlike paraffin wax. Most soy wax is grown in the USA where they feed the leftover husks as animal feed. Although I sell both types in my shop in Rottingdean I concentrate on making soy wax candles and melts for my own range. So why did I choose soy wax? Well I find that soy wax has a cleaner burn than paraffin as it does not give off the black soot you can get from paraffin candles. I also find it cleaner to work with as soy wax can be removed with just soapy water which makes for a cleaner kitchen when working. A real plus when I was testing out scents believe me! The downside of soy is that it is a very soft wax so while it is perfect for containers and melts and gives excellent scent throw it does not work in pillar candles. So additives have to be added, personally I find paraffin wax is best for large pillar candles. I have found little difference in the scent hold or scent throw between the two waxes. That is more to do with the
strength and quality of oils used and how they are added. Some producers will just wrap the outside of a candle in fragrance, at madwaxcandles we blend essential oils into the wax for a longer lasting scent throw when the candle is burning. Soy wax is more expensive than paraffin wax and has a lower melting point. Apart from being a renewable source one of the great advantages with soy is you can re-use jars or containers by simply washing them out with warm soapy water. This means if you make your candle in a lovely teacup or jar (as I do) you can give it as a present and the recipient can simply wash it out after burning the candle and re-use.

Film Review from Cinema Saltdean
A Little Chaos screening at Cinema Saltdean this month A warm rosy glow and a dash of chaos from the Sun King as two landscape gardeners become romantically entangled during the construction of an outdoor ballroom at the palace of Versailles. An unlikely scenario and a different twist on the historical / costume / romantic-drama genre that works surprisingly well thanks, in part, to an excellent cast and lovely cinematography. Alan Rickman (Louis XIV - and the film’s Director) gets everything right, playing a part that suits his natural demeanour whilst, as Director, he keeps a close eye on historical detail, without making the film a history lesson. Rickman had been keen on the idea of this story for some years and has clearly taken a good deal of care over the production, the costumes and, importantly, the casting. Kate Winslet (Sabine) turns in another terrific performance as the plant- and flower-loving gardener; managing to capture in her character someone who wouldn’t look out of place in a local garden centre. Sabine’s plans are, however, greater than this; she plans to landscape the outdoor ballroom at Versailles. From the outset this looks like a monumental task with uncertain outcomes: add to this a dash of sabotage and more than a hint of intrigue and romance and you have the ingredients for what turns out to be a beautifully-made film. The story’s main focus, however, is in the slowburn relationship between Sabine and Andre Le Notre (Matthias Schoenaerts – ‘Far From the Madding Crowd’ and ‘Suite Francaise’) a relationship not without its hiccups. The onscreen chemistry between Winslet and Schoenaerts works well; despite their seeming an unlikely pairing at the beginning of the film. Comedy, reminiscent of Shakespeare, is also here; no more subtly played than in one of my favourite sequences, wherein Sabine fails to recognise the king and assumes him to be the Head Gardener – a joy to watch. But what of the Chaos of the title? – I’ll leave that for you to discover.
If you are not into gardening and don’t like historical, romantic or costume dramas, then still make the effort to see ‘A Little Chaos’: the performances, the cinematography and Alan Rickman’s attention to period detail are worth the ticket price. A film with a feel-good factor that leaves you with a rosy glow. If you can’t make Tuesday 26th January, then look out for Matthias Schoenaerts as Gabriel Oak in the 2015 version of ‘Far From the Madding Crowd’, starring Carey Mulligan; screening at Cinema Saltdean Tuesday 23rd February. Cinema Saltdean films start at 7:30pm. Doors 7:00pm. Remember: fourth Tuesday of the month! Jon, on behalf of all the Cinema Saltdean volunteers.
