(Retired) Police Officers, Nurses, Councillors, Teachers, Grandparents & respect honesty kindness responsibility strength responsibility strength Experienced Community Volunteers – it could be YOU! responsibility strength Meridian Community Primary School & Nursery is looking for skilled and enthusiastic volunteers to join their Governing Board. The Governing Board is made up of 12 volunteers who strategically oversee the work of the school and support it throughout the year. Governors attend 10 meetings per year and also visit the school to see the teachers and children in action. The role is very rewarding as you will help shape the success and wellbeing of our next generations of learners; it offers you the chance to make a valuable impact in your community! Free training and ongoing governor role development are provided. We offer interested volunteers the option to join a governor meeting as an observer first, before committing to the role (a term of office usually lasts for 4 years.) If you are interested to become a governor and want to find out more about the role, please contact the Clerk to Governors on bgerding@meridian.e-sussex.sch.uk (All Governors are subject to a DBS check and complete a short application form before starting in the role.)
