Legends & Carols Christmas with The Choral Guild of Atlanta and The Peachtree Chorale
Sunday December 3 | 4pm Kellett Chapel Peachtree Presbyterian Church
When your church sanctuary is under construction, and it’s Christmas time, and you can’t quite produce the big, splashy productions you’re used to, what is the solution? You create a delightful combo deal with your community choir and your church’s music leaders in one charming afternoon of Christmas music! Why have we called it “Legends and Carols”? Most of these Christmas songs are either allegory or stories outside of the biblical narrative of Christmas, stories which come from the imagination of poets. Some you will be familiar with, some will be new—and some will require you to sing along! We are so glad you are joining us today, and we hope you have a beautiful month full of wonder! Sincerely, Mary Hoffman Senior Music Director | Peachtree Church Artistic Director | Choral Guild of Atlanta

Translation: Riu, riu, chiu, guard of the river God saved our Lamb from the wolf. The rabid wolf wanted to bite her, but God was able to defend her; I wanted to make sure that I couldn’t sin, This Virgin did not have even an equal. This one who is born is the great King Christ the Father, clothed in flesh He has redeemed us and man is in heaven because he loved him. I saw a thousand angels that were singing, dancing around here, making a thousand sounds, Saying to them “Glory be to heaven, and peace on earth that Jesus was born.”
