ASSEMBLE IN GOD’S NAME

**Life of the Congregation

Prelude

Pastoral Prayer and the Lord’s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Placement of the Bible Prayer of Confession Gracious and loving God, we give you thanks today for the comforts of home. The shelter in which we live reminds us that you are our dwelling place. The table around which we gather speaks of the abundance of your house. We confess that too often our shelter becomes a fortress that shuts out the lonely and the homeless. Forgive our tendency to hide behind closed doors. Remind us that your house is large and there is always room at your table. Make us generous people who live with open hearts and open doors, offering your invitation to any and all who will come in. Come and dwell in us afresh as we offer our silent prayers of confession...

*Congregational Response In Christ There is No East or West - #479 (verses 1 & 2) In Christ there is no East or West, In Him no South or North; But one great fellowship of love Throughout the whole wide earth. In Him shall true hearts everywhere Their high communion find; His service is the golden cord, Close binding all mankind.

*Those who are able, please stand. ** Ushers will seat latecomers at this time.
