JOHN CROSBY FOUNDER S CH A IR WORLD V I S IO N
Today, we welcome John Crosby as he preaches in all three services. John and his wife, Laura, served for 30 years at Christ Presbyterian Church in Edina, MN, where he was the Senior Pastor. John received his B.A. from Wheaton College, Master of Divinity from Gordon Conwell, and a Doctorate in Ministry from Fuller Seminary. Involved in the larger denomination, John seeks to identify, encourage, and network younger leaders to build flourishing churches. He sits in the Founders Chair of the World Vision International Board, one of the organizations that fleshes out their passion for God’s bigger world. Golf and tennis fill spare time, and their “little girls” provide excuses to visit either coast (Berkeley and Washington, DC), as they change the world through their passion for international care!

BAPTISM AT PEACHTREE At Peachtree, we celebrate both infant and believer baptism. For infants, baptism marks the official beginning of the partnership between the church and the family to raise the child as Jesus’ disciple. When a child is baptized, the parents make a profession of faith on behalf of their child. As the parents claim that Jesus is their Lord and Savior, they also make commitments to raise their child to know Jesus Christ. In baptism, a child becomes a part of the church family, but they must one day make their own decision to follow Jesus Christ.
Requirements
The child being baptized must be 18 months of age or younger.
At least one parent must be an active and local member of Peachtree Presbyterian Church.
At least one parent must attend a Baptism Workshop prior to the Baptism Sunday selected (even if prevously attended for another child).
To register your child, visit:

Milestones
Just as families keep in touch about joys and sorrows, our church family at Peachtree wants to do the same. During your prayers this week, we ask you to lift up these people to God.

Our Stephen Ministers are trained, caring Christian listeners who support others in times of deep personal need to help bring about God’s healing in some of life’s hardest situations like divorce or loss of a loved one. New groups for Divorce Recovery and Grief Share begin meeting Monday, August 12.
