GO IN GOD’S NAME

Hymn of Response* God of Grace and God of Glory  #358 Invitation and Benediction*

Refrain

Apostles’ Creed** I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth,

We walk by faith and not by sight. We trust in God and not in might. For in our darkness He is light. We walk by faith and not by sight.

And in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

Sometimes trials come our way. We don’t know what to do or say. But we know God will make a way If we will trust, trust and obey.

I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.

We may not fully understand, But we are guided by His hand. And as we follow faith’s command God leads us to the promised land.

*

Those who are able, please stand. Ushers will seat latecomers at this time.

**

Postlude*

(Refrain)

We trust in God and in His Son. What God has promised will be done. And as each journey is begun His Holy Spirit makes us one. (Refrain)

(Refrain)

The beautiful flowers in the Sanctuary this morning are given to the glory of God and in Loving Memory of: Virginia (Ginny) Dilcher by her loving husband, Charles

If your young child needs attention during worship, live broadcasts of the service are available in the Williams Center and the Mothers and Infants Room off of the Williams Center.

It’s that time again — Peachtree’s annual Vacation Bible School registration opens today! If you have a mobile device, maybe you know how much apps are now a part of everyday life. Our goal is to help your kids learn how to make Jesus as much a part of life as our most commonly used apps. There’s no better example of a life applied to Jesus, upward and outwardly focused, than the life of Paul. This year we’re going to learn how to live fully UpNOut. VBS begins June 1. Sign up online today. peachtree-church.org/vbs

You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. —Matthew 5:14–16
