A magnitude-7.8 earthquake has struck Nepal, killing thousands and putting millions in harm’s way. Peachtree is working with partner organization World Vision International and its Chief Resource Development Officer, Bonnie Wurzbacher, who is one of our church elders, to provide relief.

NOMINATING COMMITTEE The Session has called a congregational meeting in the Sanctuary immediately following 10:00 am worship today for the purpose of electing the 2015–2016 nominating committee and honoring the request of Dr. Steve Huntley to dissolve the relationship with the church effective June 1, 2015.

DEBORAH ASHENDORF and her husband, Bruce, joined Peachtree in 1982. They are members of the Credence Sunday School class. Deborah serves as a mentor in Women Mentoring Women; coordinator of Peachtree’s Outreach to Journey, Druid Hills Men’s Shelter; and a member of the Sacraments Committee. She is also a facilitator in the Peachtree Corners Community Bible Study. Deborah and Bruce have two adult children. JAMES BEDDINGFIELD met his wife, Christy, in Peachtree Sunday School; they married on January 31 of this year. He has been a member since 2013, has taught Confirmation, and participated in mission trips to Cuba and Ecuador. Jim was raised as a presbyterian in Conyers, attended UGA and received his MBA in Finance and Risk Management from Georgia State. He recently passed his CFP exam and is a Financial Planner. STEVE MARTIN grew up in Powder Springs, began attending Peachtree in 1987, and joined in 1992 with his bride Robin. Steve has served as an Elder, Chair of the Property Committee, early childhood Sunday School teacher, and TOPS basketball coach. He is the managing principal at SDM Partners, a commercial real estate firm focused on acquiring office and industrial properties. Steve has a BA in Economics from Jacksonville State and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. FREDERICK MARX and his family joined Peachtree in 2004 following an expat assignment in Santiago, Chile. He has served as an Elder, an Ironman table leader, and in The Pond with his wife Robin. Frederick has also previously served on the elder nominating committee. A serial entrepreneur, one of Frederick’s companies, Keylingo, was #692 on the 2014 Inc. 5000 list of Americas fastest growing privately held companies. DONNAY RAY grew up on St. Simons Island as a member of the First Methodist Church. After graduating from UGA, she moved to Atlanta and joined Peachtree in 1985. She is a current Elder and has previously served as a Trustee of the Peachtree Trust and on The Gift Goes On planning committee, chaired the Evangelism Committee, and is on the Word Before Work leadership team. Donna is Senior VP and COO for Momar, Inc. and has been happily married to Mike, for 27 years. MURRAY SHEVLIN is a native Atlantan who grew up at Peachtree. Murray and his wife, Michelle, have three children, Ella, Rose, and Nathan, and are celebrating their tenth anniversary this year. Murray is a current Elder and chairs the Congregational Life Committee. The Shevlins are founding members of the Pathfinders Class, active in Children’s Ministry, and served on a mission trip in Malawi. Murray graduated from UGA, works for The Hackett Group, and serves on the school council at Sagamore Hills Elementary. TRISH SPRAIN began attending Peachtree shortly after moving from Minnesota in 2005 with her husband, Jeff. The Sprains have a daughter, Lily. Trish serves with Women Mentoring Women, KidJam, Women’s Bible Study, Exploring Peachtree, the Christmas Tea, Red Dot, and VBS. They have been active in a couples’ small group and are members of the Pathfinders class. She sits on the Board of the Andrew P. Stewart Center and the Mary Lin Foundation. Trish is a media attorney and has worked at CNN and CBS.
