IT ’S A

GAME CHANGER That’s how Courtney Parsons describes community at Peachtree. Courtney is a member of the Young Adult community that meets on Sunday mornings. “When life is good, community provides a place to celebrate. When life is tough, community is a place to share and find support,” Courtney says.

Unfortunately, life became tough for Courtney and her family this year, when just after Easter, her mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The Young Adult community immediately responded with prayer and expressions of love and support for Courtney and her family. Courtney’s mother passed away in August of this year, and on the day of her funeral services in Macon, GA, members of Courtney’s community were there. When Courtney saw this group from Peachtree that made the drive to be with her on this difficult day, she and her family recognized what real community is. “It’s one thing to call yourself a community. It’s a another thing to be a community,” Courtney explains.

Belong Communities are the path to engagement at Peachtree, a place to gather, learn, serve, and care. Share life, the good times and the difficult times, in authentic community. Find A Place to Belong today. Visit the Williams Center information table or go to our website:

After each worship service, we will ask Peachtree members to vote to call the Rev. Scott Tucker to the installed position.
