GIVE PRAISE TO GOD Hymn of Praise** Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah  #339 Lighting of the Candles Placing the Bible Prayer of Confession Gracious and loving God, we confess that there are many days when we would rather do anything but pray. We acknowledge that we are often too tired to pray. Just as often we are too busy or too distracted. More than anything we confess that we would rather manage life in our own power. Forgive our pride and the self-sufficient spirit that keeps us from prayer. Only by your grace will our hearts be humbled. Only by your grace will we look to you for wisdom and strength as we face a new week. Pour out your grace upon us in these moments as we continue our confession in silence…

Pastoral Prayer & The Lord’s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Those who are able, please stand. Ushers will seat latecomers at this time.

Arnold Sevier Precious Lord, take my hand, lead me on, let me stand, I am tired, I am weak, I am worn; Through the storm, through the night, lead me on to the light. Take my hand, Lord, and lead me home. When my way grows drear, precious Lord, linger near, When my life is almost gone, at the river, Lord, I stand, guide my feet and hold my hand: Take my hand, Lord, and lead me home.
