Nature
A careful urban mapping revealed the interior of the urban block as a gathering area of contemplation and interaction with nature. This became determinant for the design, which captures that essence with an interior courtyard. A demographic study revealed that over 50% of the populaition are 50 years or older, and everybody is on the move. Free mobility was the main focus on this geriatric center. An outdoor ramp leads the users to an interior courtyard allowing free movement to everyone, with or without disabilities.

When cancer cells start reproducing in our body our immune system weakens. Common cancer treatments focus on atacking and killing cancer cells, but they do nothing to help our body build strength in a time when it is needed the most. The building provides a path designed to facilitate four major lifestyle changes for building resilience: Avoiding toxins, managing stress, excerizese, and correcting diet. Four programatic components shape the building, preceded by a reception and connected by interior courtyards. The building leads the user to a public space

The city wants to construct a public building that will activate the plaza, but also something that will provide needed protection to the ruins, and mantain as much open plaza as possible By elevating the plaza surrounding the ruins 2 programatic components can be acchieved, and by lifting the building off the ground the public space is increased. The piece of heritage is protected and framed as a work of art.

This sistem is understanded as the base to formulate a logical public space proposal. Lineal parks are created along the water sources, which become the boundary for the consolidated zone of La Estrella. A green transversality is planned to break thorugh the city and form nodes of public activity. In addition, interior blocks will be activated as public space, giving pedestrians priority. 8 public space proyects are to be formulated to develop a public space city plan.

Master Plan - Public Space design All on AutoCAD Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana Winter 2015 The public space project aims to reclaim existing water sources and provide a place for the city to enjoy. Delimit the available space with a bike and pedestrian path. After this, a activity node building is proposed, with spaces for multiple activities. The form and placement of the building is designed to relieve terrain pressure on the water source and provide a walkable area with enjoyable water.

CONCEPTUAL ARCHITECTURE Phenomenology Hand Crafted Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana Fall 2014
Located in Medellin, Colombia, “Comuna 13 is known municipaly by its very inclined topography and turbulent history. When a site recognition was developed, it was observed that the density, topography, and history of the slums helped shape the people who live here into versatile and resilient persons. The Comuna is famous for the amount of houses it has, considering how limited its space is. People in the area take use of every little space available. 5 major spatial fenomenons where found. Change, mobility, adaptability, connectiviy and rupturing. % models where constructed for each one of this fenomenons, and where then put together in a single conception of what represents the Comuna 13
