Waldo County General Hospital Emergency Department The main entrance to the hospital has reopened. Please use this entrance to access general and emergency care. While we hope that you will not require our emergency services, if you do, we want to make it as easy as possible to access care. Once finished, the WCGH ED will have 15 private rooms, two trauma rooms and two specifically for behavioral health. This expansion will allow us to take care of patients with increased efficiency, increase privacy, and with state of the art tools to provide high quality care.

The Pharmacy at Pen Bay Medical Center is now open The Pharmacy at Pen Bay Medical Center is now open. Located in the main hallway of the hospital, the pharmacy is now closer to the front of the hospital for your easy access. The pharmacy team at PBMC is dedicated to making prescription services more convenient for you. Our new retail pharmacy has designated parking and the latest hours of any pharmacy in the Midcoast, even on holidays. Manage refill requests on the PBMC Pharmacy app and pick up a limited selection of over the counter pain relievers, cold medicine and vitamins too. Prior to his arrival Dr. Serafini served as an Associate Professor, Anesthesiology, Pain Management and Palliative Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. Please join us in welcoming our new providers across the system. Paul Kluger, MD - Dr. Kluger, a board certified Otolaryngologist, is now seeing new patients in Rockport and in Belfast. Dr. Kluger is a graduate of Boston University and New Jersey Medical School. Prior to his arrival, Dr. Kluger served as the section head and lead physician, Otolaryngology at Eastern Maine Medical Center. Jessica Hafford, DNP Jessica Hafford, DNP has joined our diabetes and medical nutrition services office. Jessica works closely with patients on their diabetes medication management. Jessica is a graduate of the University of Southern Indiana and Brandman University. Prior to her arrival at WCGH, Jessica served as a diabetes clinic provider in Internal Medicine for the Department of Defense in Okinawa, Japan. Sally Kirkpatrick, MD - Dr. Kirkpatrick, a board certified neurologist, has joined Pen Bay Neurology to provide general neurologic care. She is interested in the intersection of neurology and psychiatry. Dr. Kirkpatrick is a graduate of Wesleyan University and the Medical College of Pennsylvania. Prior to her arrival at PBMC, Dr. Kirkpatrick served on the medical staff of Eastern Maine Medical Center. Appointments are by referral from your primary care provider.

Alicia Snow, FNP - Alicia Snow, FNP has joined Waldo County Medical Partners Internal Medicine. Alicia is a graduate of the University of Maine and St. Joseph’s College of Maine. Prior to arrival at WCGH, Alicia was a nurse on the speciality care unit at Pen Bay Medical Center. Alicia is now accepting new patients. Please call 207-505-4304 to schedule an appointment today.

helps people with Parkinson’s Disease and other neurological disorders improve their balance, gait, mobility and overall function with daily activities. Highly skilled physical therapists and occupational therapists are available to provide the personalized care

New Initiative to Connect Patients with Health Insurance Coverage To support these efforts, Angel Cyr joined the Access to Care team, as a Coverage Case Manager. In this role, she will serve both Waldo and Knox Counties and her main office will be located at 138 Northport Avenue, Belfast. Angel will be available to see in-patients at WCGH and will work alongside ClaimAid at PBMC. She previously worked for PCHC-Seaport Community Health Center and Athenahealth, Inc. Her

experience and enthusiasm for the new initiative is a welcome asset to our team and MaineHealth. Angel will begin taking referrals as of 2/27. If you’d like to learn more about enrolling patients in MaineCare coverage, please reach out to Angel at 207-505-4938 or ACyr@mainehealth.org.

MaineHealth Access to Care has launched a new initiative at PBMC and WCGH to help connect more patients with health insurance coverage options. With the expansion of MaineCare, 70,000 Mainers are now eligible for coverage. The goal of this initiative is to collaborate with staff at PBMC and WCGH to enroll patients in coverage and ensure that everyone has access to comprehensive, affordable health care.
