Virtual Breastfeeding Support Group Tuesdays, February 2 – 23, 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Virtual meeting A support group for breastfeeding families. The informal group provides interaction as well as individual assistance when needed. Women wanting more information about breastfeeding are also welcome. Facilitated by a lactation consultant from OB/GYN. Please call 301-8337 for more information. This group is free but preregistration is required in order to obtain virtual access. Join SNAP-Ed Nutrition Educator Kaitlyn Johnson for this live cooking demo that will leave you ready to do some healthy baking of your own. Alzheimers Disease Support Group Tuesday, February 2, 6:00 p.m. Virtual Meeting The Alzheimer’s Support Group provides information and support to area residents who have loved ones coping with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias. Currently the group is meeting via Zoom. Free. Those interested in participating should contact Cheri R. Blouin, LSW at 301-6237 or at cblouin@pbmc.org for the meeting details.

Breastfeeding Basics Tuesday, February 2, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Virtual class This two hour class provides a pre-birth opportunity to ask questions and learn about breastfeeding and returning to work. Pre-registration is required in order to obtain virtual access. Please call 301-8337 to register.

Eating Better on a Budget Thursdays, February 11 – March 4, 11:00 a.m. to noon Virtual class Want to learn how to prepare healthy foods on a limited budget? Join SNAP-Ed Nutrition Educators from Knox and Waldo counties for this free four-week class that will give you the skills to shop, cook and eat healthy foods while stretching your SNAP dollars and staying within your grocery budget. There will be recipe demonstrations at each fun and interactive virtual session. All participants will receive a colorful cookbook with 24 healthy, low-cost recipes and nutrition tips! Postpartum Support Group Thursdays, February 11 & 25, 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Virtual meeting This support group was created by a group of women and moms, who have gone through challenging postpartum experiences themselves and/or have been educated on them. We offer a safe place for new and pregnant mothers and families to talk, listen, get support and gain education on postpartum experiences. This is a free group for moms, moms-to-be and family members who want to connect with others. The group meets the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month. For more information, please call 505-4140.
