Learn how to use a knife properly, incorporate different cooking techniques and power-up your meals for the best nutritional punch possible. Chefs and dietitians will demo delicious healthy foods, answer your nutrition and culinary questions while you practice your skills and taste the results. Building Resilience for Yourself and Others Presenter: Sue Campbell, OUT Maine Life is full of highs and lows. Negative experiences can shape our past and resound into our future, sometimes resulting in depression, anxiety, physical illnesses, substance misuse and unhealthy relationships. In this workshop, you will learn how to reshape your path and gain tools to reduce the impact of negative experiences for yourselves and others. Creative Management of Chronic Pain Presenter: Susan M. Hage, DO Many of us are affected by chronic pain. Susan Hage, DO, will share how lifestyle changes and nonsurgical techniques can improve quality of life and help manage chronic pain without the use of medication. Participants will learn how to incorporate some of these strategies into their daily lives and have the opportunity to experience some of the treatments available. Fabulous Florals (and Cake!) Collage Presenter: Chrissy Richards Unplug and join us for this hands-on workshop that offers time to slow down and create something you’ll be happy to share. Using beautiful papers, you will learn how to identify shapes and put them together in this most forgiving art form. Choose from two easy-to-follow collage designs (a fabulous floral and a beautiful birthday cake), or you can create your own. You can hold onto your collage or turn it into the perfect hand-made greeting card (envelopes included). How to Reach Financial Wellness Presenter:

This workshop will explore how to integrate the practice of Mindfulness into everyday life, explore what meditation is and isn’t, and provide practical strategies for reducing stress and improving well-being. Nutrition for Healthy Aging Presenter: Marcia Kyle, RDN, LD, CDE, FAND Our nutritional needs change as we age and can vary based on our activity level, chronic health conditions, environment and genes. Join Marcia Kyle, RDN, LD, CDE, FAND, to learn about the basics of a balanced diet, healthy aging superfoods and how to eat to keep your heart, brain and eyes healthy throughout your life. Your Skin Is In Presenter: Sarah Aasheim Using IMPACT Melanoma’s award-winning “Your Skin Is In” program, melanoma survivor Sarah Aasheim will share the latest information about skin cancer and melanoma. Sarah will share her frightening and inspiring 20-year journey with melanoma and teach you how to incorporate sun-safe habits into your daily routine to ensure that your skin stays healthy and free from dangerous UV damage. Do you miss your Richard Simmons workout? You have come to the right place. Join personal trainer Rachael McCormick for a fun, easy to follow aerobics routine that will get your heart pumping and put a smile on your face. Leg warmers optional. Power Packed Superfoods Presenter: WCGH Best Café Team If you are feeling sluggish, unmotivated and irritable, your diet may be to blame. Join the Best Café team from Waldo County General Hospital to learn about and sample science-backed foods that will boost your mood, energy, metabolism and memory. Recharge Your Creative Battery Presenter: Janet Ross Join Janet Ross for this interactive workshop comprised of theatrical games and improvisation focusing on important skills: concentration, observation and coordination. Relieve stress by laughing and imagining through creative play.
