Breastfeeding Support Group Mondays, March 4 – 25, 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. (Every Monday, please call ahead if it falls on a holiday) Waldo County General Hospital, Women & Infants Unit, Ground Floor 118 Northport Avenue, Belfast Meet other new mothers who are breastfeeding. The group offers support and guidance to breastfeeding mothers from certified lactation consultants and certified lactation counselors. Siblings are welcome. Cancer Support Group Tuesdays, March 5 and 19, 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Oncology & Infusion Therapy, Waldo County General Hospital 116 Northport Avenue, Ludwig Medical Building, Belfast This group is for cancer patients at any stage – newly diagnosed, currently in treatment and long-term survivors. A cancer diagnosis can be scary and can feel isolating; support groups offer a network of comfort, recognition and guidance. The group is facilitated by Ashley Hoffmann, LSW and Claudia B. If you are concerned about falls, have sustained falls in the past year, or are interested in improving your flexibility, balance and strength, this class is for you. Fat Tuesday Fundraiser Tuesday, March 5, 5:00 to close Darby's, 155 High Street, Belfast Celebrate Fat Tuesday at Darby’s and support the Cardiac Rehab Scholarship Fund at Waldo County General Hospital. Darby’s will donate 10% of its proceeds to the Cardiac Rehab Scholarship Fund for Phase III patients whose insurance policies does not cover care. A raffle will be held as well.
