November Events Pen Bay Medical Center & Waldo County General Hospital Postpartum Support Group Thursdays, November 1 – 29, 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (No group November 22) First Floor Community Room, Biscone Building 119 Northport Avenue, Belfast AND Pen Bay Medical Center, Cardiac Rehab Solarium, 6 Glen Cove Drive The group alternates locations weekly: November 1, 15 and 19 will be held at Waldo County General Hospital and November 8 will be held at Pen Bay Medical Center. The group will not be held on Thanksgiving. The postpartum support group was created by a group of women and moms, who have gone through challenging postpartum experiences themselves and/or have been educated on postpartum experiences. We offer a safe place for new and pregnant mothers and families to talk listen, get support and gain education on postpartum experiences. This is a free group for moms and moms-to-be who want to connect with other women for support. No registration required. For more information, please call 505-4140. The purpose of these forums is to present key findings from the Maine Shared Community Health Needs Assessment, learn from community members about what is important to them and begin to identify community health priorities for our communities. The informal group provides interaction as well as individual assistance when needed. Women wanting more information about breastfeeding are also welcome.
