Favorite Fall Hike: Head of Tide Preserve Monday, November 2, noon to 12:45 p.m. Doak Road, Belfast This fall, join members of the Community Health & Wellness team for guided (socially distant) hikes of some of our favorite Coastal Mountains Land Trust trails. Selected hikes will be approximately one mile in length and considered easy, with occasional rough terrain and some inclines. Participants should wear appropriate footwear and bring drinking water for the hike. For more information about any of the trails, please visit coastalmountains.org. Eating Better on a Budget Mondays, November 2 – 23, 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Virtual class Want to learn how to prepare healthy foods on a limited budget? Join SNAP-Ed Nutrition Educators from Knox and Waldo counties for this free four-week class that will give you the skills to shop, cook and eat healthy foods while stretching your SNAP dollars and staying within your grocery budget. There will be recipe demonstrations at each fun and interactive virtual session. All participants will receive a colorful cookbook with 24 healthy, low-cost recipes and nutrition tips!
