COMMUNITY Skip Day
Last month we held a community skip day at Hafan y Ewyn & Llys y Castell in Rhyl. We love to work in partnership with residents and relevant agencies in our communities. This day was a great success, so a massive thanks to all of our staff and residents who took part in a community clean-up day. Great teamwork, it made a huge difference! If you are struggling to access recycling facilities, then please contact your housing officer who may be able to sign post to the correct agencies for support. If you are thinking of getting rid of old furniture or white goods there is a waste collection service available by your local council and is usually collected at a small fee.
To find your local council details on collection of large waste items you can head over to the government website here www.gov.uk/collection-large-waste-items Or, if your item is recyclable and can be sold on, it may be worth seeing if there are any local organisations that could collect these items free of charge from you; then they will hopefully go on to be used in a good home.
