Ice Skating-Parent/Me

Children and parents (or another person 16+) learn the proper technique to perform basic skating. Beginning skills such as marching, fall down and get up, 2-foot hop, back wiggles, and much more are taught through fun games and songs to keep your child engaged and interested.

FOOD/MEAL OPPORTUNITIES

The Peoria Community Center offers Kids’ Café Afternoon Snack/Supper Program through St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance. Any youth/teen 18 and younger can receive a meal FREE OF CHARGE. Meals are available Mon. - Fri. at 4 p.m. and Sat. at 11:30 a.m. during the school year.

The HART (Helping at Risk Teens) Pantry provides weekend non-perishable food bags for teens 13-19 that are experiencing food insecurity. Teens are welcome to pick up a bag every Thur. at the Peoria Community Center 8 a.m. - 9 p.m.

St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance distributes food/produce at the Peoria Community Center every Thur. from 7 - 8 a.m. This program is FREE and open to anyone in need.

Learn essential kitchen skills, simple recipes, and build confidence in the kitchen.

Paint, Paste, & Pour

Designed for little hands and big imaginations, this fun and messy class lets toddlers explore art through painting, gluing, and pouring. Develop fine motor skills and foster a love for art in a playful, supportive environment.

Fall Family Bingo

Bring the whole family for a night of fun and excitement at Family Bingo Night! Enjoy classic bingo games with a chance to win fantastic prizes.

Fall Festival

Carnival games, library activities, crafts, and more!

Family Holiday Craft Night

We will have a variety of crafts supplies provided or bring your own and craft with friends. Light snacks will be available.

Family Neon Nerf Wars

Set in a dimly lit/blacklight environment, this is an exciting and immersive experience. Bring your Nerf Gun, we will supply the glow in the dark darts.

Gingerbread House Workshop

We are once again building Gingerbread Houses. All materials provided.

Parents Night Out

TOOL LENDING CENTER

The City of Peoria operates a Tool Lending Center to assist homeowners, renters, and neighborhood groups in undertaking landscaping projects, yard clean-ups, community rebuilding and other improvement projects. Borrow a tool for FREE from Peoria’s Tool Lending Center!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteers are incredibly valuable and play a huge role in the programs and services the city provides the Peoria community. Become a volunteer to help make a difference in your neighborhood. Volunteer now and get involved!

NEIGHBORHOOD GRANTS

Peoria's Neighborhood Grant Program offers non-HOA Neighborhood Associations funding to improve their neighborhoods. The program aims to strengthen community connections and encourage lasting engagement. Residents interested in becoming neighborhood leaders are strongly encouraged to apply.

BLOCK PARTY TRAILER

The Block Party Trailer is FREE for City of Peoria residents to reserve. It is filled with items to help you and your neighbors have a successful block party! The purpose of the trailer is to build community and relationships between neighbors.

Know an outstanding neighbor? Starting on National Good Neighbor Day (September 28, 2024), you can nominate them for recognition. Nominees have a chance to win a gift certificate to a local business and host a neighborhood block party.
