HAVE YOUR SAY IN TED'S SURVEY

Be Sure To Let Ted Know What You Think By March 31

Determining the needs and aspirations of Sunshine Coast residents is at the centre of a new initiative by Federal Member for Fairfax, Ted O’Brien.

‘Ted’s Biggest Survey’ is an initiative which invites residents to share their views on local and national issues important to them to help the federal member continue delivering outcomes for the community.

Ted hit the road over past two weeks to hear directly from residents as part of the Ted’s Biggest Survey program which included mobile offices in Maroochydore, Mapleton, Peregian, Bli Bli and Brightwater between February 23 and March 5.

Ted said that listening to local people about their needs and priorities was the most important part of his job.

“Representing the people of the Sunshine Coast is a great honour and it’s a responsibility I take very seriously.”

“Maybe I’m just ‘old school’ with how I view the role of politicians. To be on the ground in the community, especially face-to-face with constituents is the best way to learn what matters most.”

“To my mind, the most important part of my job is to listen and learn to ensure I’m delivering the targeted outcomes and infrastructure that our community needs.”

“With the community’s help over recent years, we’ve secured some big wins for the Sunshine.”

“To continue fighting to deliver outcomes, I need to know what’s most important to locals, and I’ve launched the biggest survey and will hit the road to find out.”

‘Ted’s Biggest Survey’ takes around five minutes to complete and covers everything from infrastructure, energy, aged care, education cost of living, jobs the economy and more and can be found online.

Local residents have until Friday, March 31 to complete the survey which can also be provided in a hard copy on request.
