Journey of Faith (14) - Brach Srey Morm

Hello everyone! My name is Brach Srey Mom. I am 16 years old, I am in Grade 11 now. I live in Tropeang Prasat Village, Oddar Meanchey Province. I have 2 siblings, they are my 2 older brothers.

I accepted Jesus through my friend. At first, she invited me to attend a prayer meeting at Permai Cambodia Church, then I asked her about the Good News of God. She told me that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only true God who saves all humans from their sins. She continued, “God loves you. Those who believe in Him will become His children and receive eternal life.” And she also told me that whatever we ask from Him, He will give us. Then she taught me how to pray.

When I went back home, I pondered what my friend told me about Jesus. I tried to open my heart and prayed to God. I prayed for something. God heard and answered my prayer. At that time, my heart leapt for joy and I told my friend about that. Since then, I offered my life to God with all of my heart. I started to learn about God through the Bible, God’s precious Word.

God is working in my life. He cleanses the evil thought in me through His Word and changes my heart. He always reminds me through the Holy Spirit when I have bad thoughts in my mind. He teaches me about living a holy life in this world as His holy nation, and He also always answers my prayers. He is with me all the time and in all the situations I encounter. He is the Lord God of omnipresence! He makes me glad and gives me joy when I pray to him. He teaches me to love people around me and He helps me to be kind to them. He also protects me from temptations and dangers.

God forgives all my sins and all my transgressions. Through the teaching of the Word of God and prayers in the church every day, He teaches me about suffering, obstacles and many other things that could happen in life in order to help me to grow strongly and firmly in my life journey.

I may face persecution and difficulty when I make the decision to follow Jesus, but I know that all these hardships will train me to be strong in faith. God is perfect and great for me. I am very thankful to God as He makes me understand many things about life.

When I feel lost, or have an argument with my family, or physical illness, or I am weak in my study, I know that they are trials for me. Now I have complete joy because I know that God is with me to go through all these circumstances. God also renews my joy again and again even though sometimes my family still has financial problems or arguments but God makes me strong and He grants me peace in my soul. God helps me to pay attention to my study. God teaches me to treasure what I have and to have peaceful relationships with other people. I received all these things from God and I thank God for providing me with all these.

God changes my mind by correcting me when I speak or use hurtful words to people around me. He gives me the right motive in my mind and pure heart.

I feel very happy and excited to knowing God because He forgives me, He loves me, and He provides all my needs. I am glad to receive eternal life as a precious gift from God.
