Extra flexibility for district heating works

Polymer pipework manufacturer Rehau has unveiled Clip-Flex, a next-generation district heating shroud designed to offer flexibility to installers and contractors. With up to a 22.5° range of motion in all directions, the shroud allows pipework to be angled according to the demands of the project. Its larger diameter makes it compatible with all Rehau PE-Xa district heating pipes from 25 to 160mm, meaning it now covers all Rauvitherm and Rauthermex sizes.

Steve Richmond, head of marketing and technical at Rehau, says: “We have spoken to countless designers and contractors in the development of Clip-Flex and have taken their priorities into consideration. Through ongoing collaboration with district heating industry professionals, we have been able to create a shroud that facilitates easier installation, optimises heat network performance, and also has the potential to deliver cost savings in materials.”

The Dik Geurts Vidar Triple range of wood stoves from DRU has been expanded with the introduction of six new models. The series now includes small, medium and large models, each with a freestanding or wall-mounted option. The freestanding models have ample wood storage capacity and all models have optional external air connection for clean burning and high efficiency. All versions also have infrared side windows, which enable high flames and comfortable heating.

In addition, the small Vidar Triple models have an average 4.9kW heat output, which means, under UK regulations, there is no need to install extra ventilation points in the room. Pictured is the Vidar Triple with a panoramic 3-sided fire view. It is Ecodesign compliant with an A-rated energy label.

MD Harvey Wiseman says: “The launch of both the Rapid Inhibitor Test Strip and the supporting Rapid Inhibitor Test app is the perfect combination, which ensures the right level of Everad Corrosion Inhibitor is in the system. This gives customers peace of mind, knowing it has been tested and treated, and the heating engineers a practical and secure way of generating a test result certificate for the customer.”

The app is available from the Apple Store or Google Play

Child-friendly colours added to LST line-up

The low surface temperature range of radiators from Stelrad now includes pink and blue finishes, ideal for installation in rooms for children, whether it’s a bedroom, a classroom or a hospital room.

Stelrad’s LST radiator range has been designed to ensure it offers as much protection as possible to those for whom they are designed to provide heating to, and they incorporate rounded corners and edges to the design to avoid any damage from sharp edges.

These types of radiators are most often installed in buildings to offer protection to older and younger people, with additional benefits ranging from safety grilles to easy-to-operate heating controls, and even arthritic adaptors for older people who are unable to grip controls easily. These features can be incorporated to provide a user friendly ‘package’ for those they seek to help.

Power packed into versatile, compact casing

The new Condexa HPR boiler range has been designed by Riello to suit a wide range of applications, from residential units to data centres, schools, commercial buildings or industrial plants.

The wall-hung modular condensing boiler, developed to allow dimensional compactness and installation flexibility, is available as standalone or cascade (linear or back-to-back) configurability, and the high-power modulation ratio (1:8 as standalone; 1:32 in cascade) allow it to adapt to large variations in heat demand.

The Condexa HPR range consists of four models, from 35 to 70kW, all equipped with a modulating circulator enabling a variable flow rate according to the flow and return temperatures, to allow operation in maximum condensation conditions.

The new combustion modules housed within the unit are equipped with a stainless steel heat exchanger and premixed burners, fitted with a wire mesh combustion head and air-gas mixer, and allow a wide modulation range, silent operation and reduced pollutant emissions.

Designer towel rail makes an impact

radiator delivers striking aesthetics along with the practicality of accommodating a family collection of towels.

Available in four size variations (860, 1100, 1460 and 1700mm height), the Tetris has been independently tested and certified to EN442 and designed to ensure optimal fit for all bathroom layouts.

Said to be inspired by the flow of a river and the rhythm of flight, the new Tetris radiator from Zehnder is designed to bring a sense of movement and space into bathrooms and kitchens. Not only does it provide optimum heat output, but the new

Brand hidden in plain sight

Installers could be buying Inta-made radiator valves without even knowing it, according to the manufacturer, who says almost two thirds of its production is for creating own-branded products for merchant groups and other manufacturers.

CEO Stuart Gizzi comments: “Our products carry the reputation of respected brands in terms of quality and service, and we take that responsibility very seriously. Knowing that there is a strong possibility that they are already fitting Inta products, we urge installers to consider expanding their use of Inta across a wider range of plumbing equipment.”

Additionally, the radiator can be coloured in a spectrum of finishes from Zehnder’s World of Colours – allowing buyers to find the perfect match for their individual style and interior design.

Improved sticking power

The internal HM sanitary sealant Silfix U7 has been relaunched by Hodgson Sealants to make it even easier and more effective to apply. It is now thicker and stiffer, with improved body that gives enhanced shape retention, improved gunability and reduced slump. Silfix U7 offers adhesion to most non-porous surfaces, making it well suited to sealing around baths, sinks, urinals and ceramic tile joints to give a waterresistant, hygienic seal.
