Remote monitoring for heating networks

'escribed as the fi rst of its kind, a new intelligent heating network system has been launched by Altecnic which enables remote commissioning, network interrogation and fault diagnosis. The Furu Integrate SATK32 is the result of a partnership between Altecnic and Furu Systems, experts in hardware and data analytics. It combines Altecnic’s heat interface unit, the SATK32 Indirect eHIU, with Furu’s Hub III Core hardware, which is able to capture detailed data for both metering and billing purposes, as well as enabling advanced heat network performance management.

Faster and more reliable commissioning is possible through remote confi guration, reducing the amount of time and resource required on site and the need for engineers to perform

regular remedial work.

Over time, the Furu Integrate SATK32 also supports the decarbonisation of networks by allowing operators to reduce heat network temperature and adjust the HIU parameters accordingly.

New gas pipe solution for unvented voids

1xtending its range of corrugated stainless steel tubing (CSST), Fastite UK has introduced Gastite P2. 'eveloped as a solution for installing gas piping in unvented voids, which can often be diffi cult to access and timeconsuming, Fastite ”2 comes complete with an outer, secondary jacket – thereby avoiding any need for additional sleeving.

Compatible with the company’s range of ÇR2 fi ttings, which eliminate exposed steel beyond the nut, Fastite ”2 features a ridged underside on the external jacket which creates space between the outer jacket and the inner pipe to ensure that any gas can ventilate.

Stylish control is easy to set up and run

A new wireless programmable room thermostat range is now available from Ideal Heating. Said to combine stylish design and ease of use with a straightforward installation process, the Halo Combi RF and Halo Combi Wi̟Fi thermostats are compatible with the company’s dogic and Áogue combi boilers and are designed to be set up and running in a matter of minutes.

The system includes a Halo unit and the Smart Interface it communicates with, which slots into the aperture on the front of the boiler with no need for wiring. The Halo Combi Wi̟Fi connects easily to the home Wi̟Fi network through the Halo app, with no need for an additional gateway. ̵Both the Halo Combi RF and Halo Combi Wi̟Fi provide time and temperature control, and enhanced load compensation as standard – an easy way to comply with Boiler ”lus when installing a replacement combi boiler. One bottle tackles the dirtiest system

The Fernox ”ower Cleaner F˗ is a citric acid-based cleaner designed to remove corrosion, scale and other debris in heavily contaminated, sludged heating systems. This new formulation, heavy-duty, fastacting cleaner includes a high concentration of key active ingredients, meaning just one 500ml bottle can tackle the dirtiest central heating systems.

Said to be ideal for existing systems and boiler replacements, ”ower Cleaner F˗ can accelerate the cleaning process and is suitable for use with manual, magnetic or powerfl ushing devices alike.
