resident Rodrigo Roa Duterte can revamp the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) to name fresh members under the harmonized Congressional bill deferring the 2022 parliament poll and extending the BTA lifespan to 2025, according to lawmakers and legal luminaries. This prospect, ostensibly pushed by principal proponent Maguindanao 2nd District Rep. Maranaos hold ‘thanksgiving caravan’ for BTA extension MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur, Philippines — Amidst cheers and joy, thousands of Maranaos held motorcade around several towns in Lanao del Norte and Lanao del Sur provinces on Saturday, Sept. 18, to express their gratitude to national lawmakers and to President Rodrigo Duterte for having the governance of Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) extended by another three years and moving the regional parliamentary elections to 2025.
